Start singing your homecoming songs friends. Sassy comes home on Wednesday next week !! By that time she will have been in hospital for 17 weeks. Sas has made remarkable progress and is heading for a very significant recovery. Won't go into too much detail yet but suffice it to say that given time she will be totally independant again. She was due to go into rehab but a place simply hasn't come up yet and her physio and occupational therapists feel that she will recover more quickly and effectively at home with a community based help package. Spending the next few days reassembling the house and converting it back from its current function as a man cave!! Sing her back to me catters and many thanks for the expressions of support and kindness in one of the most difficult periods of my life.

Frank.....Buddy.......wow.........Just FREAKIN'GREAT!!!!

I am absolutely so happy that any great words escape me but great thoughts do not.....well, as much of any "thought" as I can have anymore...................anyway, all my best ones for continued recovery!!!!! Tell Sassy I can assure her it will go better at home but can be a bit discouraging too. Sometimes it seems as if you'll never be back to whatever normal can be. Time..........I'm not good at being patient but it was a skill I had to master.   Some days you make a little progress, others a lot. Occasionally you make none at all. Then one day you begin to think back and realize just how far you've come. Super days, lousy days, boring days, exciting days.....Its all good.

As soon as Karen gets up for work, this will be the first news I tell her! She understands a lot of what you have gone and will be going through Frank and I know she will share her best thoughts (she has more and better ones than I do) for you both as well!

Damn! What GREAT news!

Great news. Good luck.

I remember once I had a boss who turned his place into a man cave during the birth etc of his first child. The mum was in hospital a couple of weeks - I can't remember why.

He opted to bring in a firm of cleaners to give the place a good going over before his family came home - and this meant neither of them had to worry about the place for a bit and could enjoy being a family.

Just a thought.
