Subject: RE: NZ song on youtube From: Brian May Date: 24 Nov 11 - 06:34 PM Just tonight returned from 16 days on Waiheke Island and very much 'pumped up' with the Spirit of that Land. There are worse epitaphs . . . I didn't know the lady but her song really does justice to that beautiful land. RIP madam, may her relatives find peace. |

Subject: RE: NZ song on youtube From: GUEST,999 Date: 24 Nov 11 - 08:00 PM I can't believe I went through most of a life and didn't hear Amanda O'Connor's beautiful voice before her death. What a sad loss for her family, but in another context, what a great loss to the world of music. I love that video. It is at once touching, proud and compassionate. What a legacy. Thank you, Robyn |

I am Amanda's sister and I am trying to come to terms with my tragic loss. But I want you to know that your love for Amanda and this song is most heartwarming. It truly is a most wonderful legacy to her. Thank you for your condolences and may this song continue to touch people. She was truly remarkable. Much love Annabel |
Subject: RE: NZ song on youtube From: Brian May Date: 18 Feb 12 - 05:57 AM You are more than welcome Annabel, many people leave this world with little to show they have been there, Amanda didn't. She left it a better place, for leaving something beautiful. As I said above, there are worse epitaphs. I truly hope you all find peace, it catches you out when you least expect it, but does improve with time. Thank YOU also for taking the trouble to tell us - that was a nice thing to do too. |
