Subject: Tech: Whittlesea Straw Bear Web site From: Wheatman Date: 27 Nov 11 - 01:42 PM Hi catters, one of the strawbearers has complained that he cannot access the Straw Bear web site properly he is unable to see some of the buttons and scroll down to the contact information. Can some of you do me a favour and go to the web site and tell me if it is working properly or not as the case may be. Lots of thanks, gan canny brian |

Subject: RE: Tech: Whittlesea Straw Bear Web site From: gnomad Date: 27 Nov 11 - 04:24 PM Works fine on a 7in screen running Ubuntu. Tried 3 browsers, Firefox, Opera and Midori, all worked without trouble. |
Subject: RE: Tech: Whittlesea Straw Bear Web site From: Noreen Date: 27 Nov 11 - 04:47 PM Looking good using Chrome too Brian- so that's about all browsers covered! Cynical minds may think- was this a ploy to get people to look at your lovely website?? I couldn't possibly comment :) Glad I looked anyway, as the 13 month Straw Bear calendar looks interesting for Christmas presents.... Does it have a straw bear on each page? |
Subject: RE: Tech: Whittlesea Straw Bear Web site From: Wheatman Date: 27 Nov 11 - 06:38 PM No Noreen it was a genuine concern, I was not fishing. I just needed some others to try access the site to prove my point to the complainee or otherwise. Tickets are going well for the fest, the big bear is built, all we hope for is good weather on second weekend in January. The bear is not featured every month on next years calendar but sales of that are going well as well, so much so, we have had to do a second print run!! Gan canny Brian |
Subject: RE: Tech: Whittlesea Straw Bear Web site From: treewind Date: 28 Nov 11 - 08:17 AM It works (Chrome-alike on Windows at the moment) but the split-page design is a bit odd, with a top panel that is fixed, a bottom panel that scrolls, no obvious divider between them, and a lower row of buttons that moves strangely if you shrink the viewing window.
