Subject: RE: how about The Mudcatter of the Year From: katlaughing Date: 08 Dec 11 - 06:00 PM I think it will be too hard to narrow it down to just one, esp. since we had the THIS IS US cd project going.:-) Just my 2 cents. kat |

Subject: RE: how about The Mudcatter of the Year From: Allan C. Date: 09 Dec 11 - 05:54 AM Definitely too difficult to choose - besides, I think such nominations would be far too subjective and personal. Then again, I feel the same way about most "best" lists, i.e.; Best Guitarist, Best Vocalist, etc.. In general, virtually all of the 'Catters I have met, including Skarpi, are mighty nice people. They are the most musically generous folks anyone could want to know. A great many are wonderfully kind and are exceedingly generous in many other ways. It would be a disservice to the rest to single out just one. |

Just to make it clear - Lizzie is nominated by me as Mudcatter of the year. How about a seconder? D. |

Subject: RE: how about The Mudcatter of the Year From: GUEST,Me Date: 09 Dec 11 - 10:54 AM The person who has done so much for Mudcat this year has to be bradfordian. He successfully took on a huge challenge to bring all our music together and raise a vast amount of funds for Mudcat. Whether you were directly involved with the project or not, bradfordian deserves a BIG thank you from us all. |
Subject: RE: how about The Mudcatter of the Year From: John MacKenzie Date: 09 Dec 11 - 11:19 AM I hereby crown Gradfordian King, with the lovely Lizzie Cornish as his Queen Consort. |

Subject: RE: how about The Mudcatter of the Year From: Alan Day Date: 09 Dec 11 - 05:30 PM I think Will Fly deserves a mention. He spends hours making Utube videos to help beginners and entertain people with no financial reward.A nice guy to work with. Al |

Subject: RE: how about The Mudcatter of the Year From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 10 Dec 11 - 07:13 AM I'm believe that "caparisons are odorous" and my list would be very long but the team that did the work on the new CD set deserve especial praise as too many 'Catters winge and carp but don't offer any practical help or cash to improve things. RtS |
Subject: RE: how about The Mudcatter of the Year From: Will Fly Date: 10 Dec 11 - 07:25 AM I don't believe in awards or lists of the best or worst 10 things, etc. There are many good people on Mudcat - let's all just enjoy their company. |
Subject: RE: how about The Mudcatter of the Year From: kendall Date: 10 Dec 11 - 08:34 AM Silly. We can't even agree on the criteria. |
Subject: RE: how about The Mudcatter of the Year From: Lonesome EJ Date: 10 Dec 11 - 12:58 PM Bob, you and I can never be as cool as Amos because of the hat. Even if we had hats like Amos, we would only be jumping on the Amos bandwagon, or hat wagon I guess you'd say. |
