Loren Jansch, loving wife of Bert, passed away last Friday 9 Dec 2011.
Bert could not have wished for a more caring partner not only in his final days of illness but all during the ten or so years they shared their lives together. Bert & Loren knew,of course, they were both very ill and it has been a very difficult time for them, but also for close family and friends, especially Geraldine & Ronnie ,Loren's Mum & Dad. Our thoughts go out to them.
Loren will be laid to rest alongside Bert on Thursday.
It is all so sad, so sad.
Rest in Peace Loren & Bert.

Very sad. Must have been a heartbreaking situation. Tragic that people who give us all so much have so much sadness.

A lovely lady. I had many a conversation with her about Bert. Well, they're back together now. RIP.

Can anyone tell me where Bert is laid to rest, I'd like to pay my respects. I owe that guy so much.

Funeral Today Thursday 1pm
Highgate Cemetery, Swains Lane. London
Loren lost the love of her life, then her own life.
All our thoughts today are with Geraldine & Ronnie (Mum & Dad)sister Karen and all other family and friends.

She and I sat together at one of Bert's concerts in Birkenhead. I remarked, and she agreed, how well Bert was looking.

That was the last time I saw either of them.

So sad.

I would like to thank my dear old friend John James for his heartfelt posting. Just six weeks ago John and I shared a sad day at Bert's funeral. I have put a posting on my website and will be writing my own personal tribute to this remarkably brave woman.For my personal tribute to Bert,and a small posting for Loren go to www.giltrap.co.uk

Sadly We were unable to attend the funeral today because of work, but our thoughts have been for all of Loren's dear family.

This is beyond sadness. Bert and Loren were dear friends and we loved them both. I still can't believe they have both departed this world.

I remember one time Loren was manning the merchandise table at one of Bert's gigs when a fellow came along and casting an eye over the selection picked up a copy of Loren's "Long Night" cd and asked "What does she sound like?" Loren looks at him and repeats his question "What does "she" sound like?" "Yeah." he says. Again, trying to keep a straight face Loren repeats "What does SHE sound like!?" "Yeah, what does she sound like?" the fellow repeats again. Fixing him with a look Loren replied flatly, "Enya."

Maybe you had to be there, but I thought it was priceless.

Hello,
I'm living in Strasbourg and I expect to visit Bert and Loren in their last house. I play guitar since the age of 18 and the sound and the voice of Bert was a
shock for me. From that time, Bert stays my favour song singer. I bought all the record he makes. Of course I try to play some songs he wrote to keep alive this fantastic troubador.
Could you tell me where I can found the cemetry where they stay for the hypernight?

As written above, they are buried in Highgate Cemetery, Swains Lane, London. It looks like a very beautiful place.
