It's nice to have a clue before you click:

Our Mission

Folk Friend is a website devoted entirely to the needs of modern UK folk festival goers. When fully operational, Folk Friend will supply everything you could possible want to enjoy traditional music at its finest, from camping gear through to odour-eating insoles! Folk Friend was founded in 2011 by Nye Farley, and aims to save you time and money, by consolidating all your folk festival shopping into one easy-to-use website.

As the folk festival world is a small and very tightly knit market, all our customers are dealt with on a personal level, by the company founder himself. This means that any comments, questions, or (Heaven forbid!) complaints you may have, will be dealt with in a quick and friendly way leading to great customer service. The only exception to this is for postal enquiries, eg to track an order or rearrange delievery times, when you will be connected directly to the couriers who handle your order.

Here at Folk Friend, we are passionately commited to protecting the environment. We do all we can to minimise packaging, shipping all orders (where possible) in single cartons. All our suppliers are carefully selected to ensure the best quality at the lowest prices.

Our postage rates are very reasonable, and vary depending on weight. We feel this to be the fairest way to charge our customers, as flat shipping rates often leave buyers of smaller orders ending up paying exorbitant postage fees.

Any stock requests and suggestions or comments on the site, ease of use etcetera will be gratefully received- please email: info@folkfriend.co.uk.

Product categories are:

Camping gear
Tee shirts
Electrical
Gifts ideas
Musical accessories
Festival fun
Books & DVDs (Dance, Instrumental, Chords, Tunes, Songs, Historical)

Tankards are a featured item. :-)

Subject: Review: Useful site for xmas??
From: GUEST,Jazzcatonahottinroof

While trawling the internet for Christmas presents, I stumbled upon this great little site:

www.folkfriend.co.uk

While it doesn't have huge ammounts on it at the moment, I found a few interesting ideas on there (especially for kids) and as it's not been going very long (first blog is from October) it looks like something which'll get bigger in future.

I've been wishing someone would make a proper folk festival shop for ages! (Folk Store and so on are a bit limited no?).

Thought it might interest my fellow Mudcatters anyway!
