I'm okay for now. Found a brick of cheddar in the back of the freezer... June 2011... making mac and cheese. If I don't post again, don't use 3.5 year old frozen cheddar cheese.

4000+ posts of caring, sharing, laughing, crying, helping, advising & listening. Gnu holed it in one: "That's some rainbow".

'Jane's Rainbow' is far greater than the sum of it's parts & that's down to all you Good People. We've come a long way...we've a long way left to travel.

         Much Love to You All,

No need to say 'sorry'. It's some big rainbow.

No ill effects yet so it looks like the cheese is still okay. I had it in a 400F oven for about 20 minutes longer than usual, though, just for good measure.

Here I go again......

came back from work on Saturday to find mother's carer very upset. She caught my brother going through my and Billy's mail, left in a pile in the kitchen! Please don't agree with my furious daughter, who thinks I should ban him from the house, that would distress mum who lights up when he walks in.

We haven't confronted him because Billy says he would probably lose his temper and doesn't want to risk a heart attack? I have never seen him lose his temper in 30 years but this might be the straw and the camel if you know what I mean! I have blitzed the kitchen the worktops have never been so empty of clutter and every piece of paper has been removed to a safe private place.

I must have been bad in a previous life? Its like living in a far fetched movie.

Hay ho, coffee on , breath, calm..............

love to all

Wendy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Wendy, people who do not respect boundaries must have their options reduced. Your strategy is an excellent first step.

Beautiful song, Janie. The two lines you quote above would make a perfect motto for Jane's Rainbow. Not sure how we'd stand, copyright-wise though.

Your thoughts, prayers, meditations, candles, for my belovéd Ann. She had a malignant melanoma successfully removed several years ago. Several lumps have recently presented, far too close to the site of the original op. Scan this coming Sunday afternoon. Be with us if you can,

Ann has spent the weekend in Liverpool at a college reunion, so she'll be returning to London in a state of nostalgia overload! Assuming her train arrives on time, we'll still have time for lunch before her appointment at 4.40pm. Public transport on Sundays is always fraught with engineering works, leading to line closures. Fortunately, the route we will be taking is engineering-free, so it should be plain sailing.

Thank you, all, for your warm, supportive words,
                                                                         With Love,
                                                                                        Nigel & Ann.

Despite Ann's train being delayed, we still had time to eat lunch & get to her appointment earlier than the appointed time!
Janie, we have to wait a few days for the results, but with Ann's previous medical history, they usually bump cancer patients to the head of the queue.
Pete, yes, by 6pm UK time, we had returned to Paterson Towers AND in true Brit. style, had drunk a mug (the cups come out when we have visitors!) of well-earned tea.
Ann enjoyed her college reunion immensely, meeting a number of former students she hadn't seen since graduation. Much exchanging of 'phone numbers & email addresses.
With Much Love to You All,
                                                                         Nigel & Ann.

Joe Offer posted the following on Facebook about an hour ago. For those of you who may not know, Joe and Christina live in northern California where wildfire is always a danger, but apparently even closer than what has occurred before for them.

There is a wild fire across the freeway from our home. We were evacuated about 3 p.m., and we are staying with friends in Auburn. We think our house will be ok, because the fire is moving away in the other direction. We don't know when we will be able to go home. Please send socks and underwear.

Hoping the fire not only keeps heading in another direction, but hoping no one in any direction are harmed or lose their homes. I know fire is a fact of life in the west and part of the natural process, but still hate for so many people and wildlife to be at risk or destroyed.

Havent been on board for a while, so much going on, Billy has asked my brother not to come to the house in the evenings anymore, long story but over stepping the mark and straw and camel gives you a clue. He can still see mum but has to come during the day and take her out in the car.

My love to Nigel and Ann, hope the results are good, waiting is the worst time !

My thoughts are with Joe, hoping they are safe.

Good news for us, Billy saw his consultant yesterday and his blood results are good so doesn't need to see him a for three months.

sending love to all,

Wendy xxxxxxxx
