Subject: RE: Jane's Rainbow: for all needing support & comfort
From: Nigel Paterson
Date: 05 Oct 14 - 05:11 AM

Ann has spent the weekend in Liverpool at a college reunion, so she'll be returning to London in a state of nostalgia overload! Assuming her train arrives on time, we'll still have time for lunch before her appointment at 4.40pm. Public transport on Sundays is always fraught with engineering works, leading to line closures. Fortunately, the route we will be taking is engineering-free, so it should be plain sailing.

Thank you, all, for your warm, supportive words,
                                                                         With Love,
                                                                                        Nigel & Ann.
                                                                                        xxxxxxxxxx

Beautiful song, Janie. The two lines you quote above would make a perfect motto for Jane's Rainbow. Not sure how we'd stand, copyright-wise though.

Your thoughts, prayers, meditations, candles, for my belovéd Ann. She had a malignant melanoma successfully removed several years ago. Several lumps have recently presented, far too close to the site of the original op. Scan this coming Sunday afternoon. Be with us if you can,
                                              Much Love to You All,
                                                                               Nigel & Ann.

Just realised that September, 2014, marks my 50th Anniversary in The Music Business...performing, recording, teaching, writing, conducting...met & worked with some stunningly talented folk. Don't think another fifty years is a realistic proposition, but I reckon I can 'make it round the block' a few more times! (-: (-:

Gnu, any chance of a link to Big Mick's vid, please?

You'll sleep tonight if you are getting the weather we are. Almost 30C here yesterday. Today, 12, wet and windy. Picked a poor day for painting the kitchen and bathroom.

"I have blitzed the kitchen the worktops have never been so empty of clutter and every piece of paper has been removed to a safe private place."

Wendy, people who do not respect boundaries must have their options reduced. Your strategy is an excellent first step.

Here I go again......

came back from work on Saturday to find mother's carer very upset. She caught my brother going through my and Billy's mail, left in a pile in the kitchen! Please don't agree with my furious daughter, who thinks I should ban him from the house, that would distress mum who lights up when he walks in.

We haven't confronted him because Billy says he would probably lose his temper and doesn't want to risk a heart attack? I have never seen him lose his temper in 30 years but this might be the straw and the camel if you know what I mean! I have blitzed the kitchen the worktops have never been so empty of clutter and every piece of paper has been removed to a safe private place.

I must have been bad in a previous life? Its like living in a far fetched movie.

Hay ho, coffee on , breath, calm..............

love to all

Wendy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

No need to say 'sorry'. It's some big rainbow.

No ill effects yet so it looks like the cheese is still okay. I had it in a 400F oven for about 20 minutes longer than usual, though, just for good measure.

'Jane's Rainbow' is far greater than the sum of it's parts & that's down to all you Good People. We've come a long way...we've a long way left to travel.

Thank you all for your good wishes. Ann & I had lunch at our favourite restaurant (Tomassi's in Southend on Sea), followed by a leisurely drive home through the Essex countryside. A light supper...a couple of good documentaries on TV...and so to bed. Simple pleasures that made for a gently memorable day. Many of my Friends & Former Students 'bombarded' me with a plethora of affectionate comments on FB too...I'm still basking in the afterglow of affection from soo many good people.
