Subject: RE: Simon and Garfunkel - The Harmony Game From: GUEST Date: 25 Jan 12 - 10:03 AM I watched the stuff that was on with great anticpation. I found I had less affection for the duo by the end of things. I don't mean that in any nasty way, I promise! Just that I have come across so many down to earth, ordinary and super talented people around what is roughly called the folk scene, real warm hearted types with lots of character who don't seem to know how good they are. I was just left a bit more cold somehow by these documentaries. Some very good music but I find my connection to it feels a bit diminshed. Not sure any of this makes any sense to anyone else, but there you go! I can be a bit allergic to big names and big tours....and especially big production of any kind. Just subjective of course. |
