Looking at his CD the other day. He encouraged Lucy Zirins when she first started. She supported him on a couple of Gigs. I'll feature him on th BBC Radio Lancashire this Friday. You can hear via listen again on the website.

"I am Louisiana Red, and I come from behind the sun". That phrase still comes to mind and I first heard it about 1963 when a ffriend bought his 'Back Porch Blues' LP.

I hung out with him in the '70's in NYC. Helluva nice guy. He was married to Odetta for a while.
