When's Plough Monday 2013?

There appeasrs to be some difference of opinion between the secular understanding of when Plough Monday falls in 2013 and the Ecclesiastical date which is calculated differently. Does anyone know the actual date?

The first Monday after the First Sunday after Epiphany. There is no secular calculation but, for convenience, people occasionally have (modern day) events on a different date.

January 7th 2013.

It's always the first Monday after Epiphany (January 6th.) but never Epiphany itself. In 2014, it will be January 13th. If Epiphany falls on a Sunday, that's 'Epiphany Sunday'.

Plough Sunday is the first Sunday after Epiphany but never Epiphany Sunday (or in some cases whenever the vicar and/or PCC decide otherwise - I've known one parish to have theirs on the third Sunday in January for no good reason.)

... that is, unless the Balsham Ploughgang and/or Mepal Molly Men decide differently.

Point is, the religious festival is Plough Sunday and the Monday is the day after.

Right then. So we can have our Plough Monday celebrations and dancing on the 7th and the Vicar will bless the plough a week later? I guess if we want he plough blessed etc. then we'll have to do it according to the Church.
