Subject: RE: BS: Tradin Thread From: catspaw49 Date: 12 Oct 99 - 11:02 PM If its a Black Diamond, I'll go 2 rusty hitchpins and the soundhole from a Larrivee that Cletus got from Sandy Paton. Sandy refused to give him his money back and now the damn thing is hanging behind Cleigh O'Possum and he says it makes him nervous. Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Tradin Thread From: DonMeixner Date: 12 Oct 99 - 11:30 PM I have 30 years of left over string ends, the part after the tuners. Its about equal to 7 complete sets. I also have nail clippings from inside the guild I play. I only cut nails when I play guitar and the wife gets a little bent if I leave the clippages on a coaster or in a coffee cup. They outta be worth something. Don |
Subject: RE: BS: Tradin Thread From: j0_77 Date: 13 Oct 99 - 12:54 AM hmmm if it's a Larrivee hole with the Chrysler 57 hubcap design around it - very rare - string ends ...with the lil brass loops. :0) Hmmmm ..... |
Subject: RE: BS: Tradin Thread From: Magpie Date: 13 Oct 99 - 05:01 AM Oh, if only it had been a G-string....! Magpie |
Subject: RE: BS: Tradin Thread From: SeanM Date: 13 Oct 99 - 05:19 AM Hey, I'll put up my stripped out tuning peg off of my grandpappy's fiddle... M |
Subject: RE: BS: Tradin Thread From: catspaw49 Date: 13 Oct 99 - 09:13 AM I'm sorry, but the soundhole is the one with the '47 Hudson hood ornament. Quite valuable, but Cletus broke it trying to string up the thing. But maybe if I threw in the rusty tone ring from a banjo found floating down the Tuscarawas river we could work something out... Subject: RE: BS: Tradin Thread From: Lonesome EJ Date: 13 Oct 99 - 12:59 PM Will trade a maple desk in my office for a lichen-covered boulder on the flank of Annapurna. Swap a Toyota 4-Runner wedged 12 cars behind the light for a fiberglass kayak plunging through the rapids in the New River. Barter 5 years of contentment for 12 minutes of enlightenment. |
Subject: RE: BS: Tradin Thread From: catspaw49 Date: 13 Oct 99 - 01:24 PM You been watchin' too many commercials Leej. Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Tradin Thread From: Rick Fielding Date: 13 Oct 99 - 01:33 PM What am I offered for these items: A picture of me shaking hands with Conway Twitty (who I had just opened for). The expression on his face seems to say,"who the hell is this kid and why has he got a guitar"? A photo of Duckboots relaxing in the bathtub with a glass of wine, cigarette, and a Jane Austin novel. A true handwritten account of my one and only date with a celebrity. Rick |
Subject: RE: BS: Tradin Thread From: Lonesome EJ Date: 13 Oct 99 - 01:35 PM That definitely goes without saying, Spaw. |
