The rout came for them, as I understand. I was just crossing Salisbury Plain the other day and there they were, being all routed. Haven't seen 'em since.

The blues has to all intents and purposes disappeared. It has been taken over by a lot of scrawny little white guys, trying to sound big, burly and black;-)

the title of this thread made me wonder if evil supercomputers (perhaps spearheaded by Apple or Microsoft or Rupert Murdoch) had expunged the internet of blues music. Relieved to discover that isn't the case.

Try using Startpage search ...a Goggle search without the hassles. You can do most everything that you can with the big G...images... etc.

*tip* when on Startpage'home page, right click IN the search box... then in the menu, click 'create search'. This will give you a set of options. You can make SP your default, or simply add it to your list of search engines.

Same with Ixquick, the original version of SP.

A Google search for "blues" with "search on site" gives about 130,000 hits at Mudcat. Unfortunately, as for anything else Goggle, you're only permitted to see the first few hundred and the one you want is #1,432.

The search engine seems to be working as well as usual. However, it is set to ignore words that appear too commonly at Mudcat. Since this is a folk and blues Website, the word "blues" gets mentioned a lot. Now, if you put freight train blues in the search box, you'll get results right away.
The Old Advanced Forum Search in our QuickLinks dropdown menu, will bring up lots and lots of messages with "blues" in the title.

The "Lyrics and Knowledge" search is semi-buggered.

Try the filter. Type "blues" in and set the age back as far as you want to go. It only display 1000 threads.

I've run a forum search for "blues" several times today and yesterday and have gotten "No results."

Not possible!

The DT still turns up titles that have the word "Blues" in them.

Something funny going on....
