My 6-year-old goddaughter was singing "You're a Grand Old Flag" for us and when she got to the penultimate line sang "Should old appointments be forgot."

Not that I suppose it's actually anything to do with a mondegreen, but I thought people should know George M. Cohan originally named the song You're a Grand Old Rag. The song didn't sell very well until he sold it under a different title the following year.

Gee, I can't imagine why it didn't sell under the original name, Joe.
