Aaron Cryan died 28/4/12
Aaron, a gentle giant of a man who was always around at Whitby Beverley Stainsby and other festivals stewarding making things work dispensing sense, friendship and encouragement when required. A sad loss to his family, friends and folk music.

A great shock.

We have suffered the loss of an increasing number of friends and fellow devotees in recent years but thus far never one so young.

Our thoughts are with Aaron's family and close friends.

I was so shocked and saddened by this news. Aaron was a gem who would do anything for anyone. He had everything to look forward to. Whitby last year was great fun because of the likes of Aaron Cryan. Hope your keeping Colin Kemp company mate. x

Although we didn't know Aaron well it came as a great shock to all the family. Gilli and I were at the She Shanties gig in Hull on the day it happened and they were supposed to be staying with Aaron.

Our condolences to all close friends and family.

Aaron's funeral will be at 12.30 on Thursday 10th May at Chanterlands Crematorium, Chanterlands Avenue Hull, HU5 4EF.and afterwards at The Goodfellowship, Cottingham Road.

I saw Aaron very recently at the beverley folk festival gig at pave...
I also remember happy days with Aaron and Nathan as little boys...

I am proud to say that I knew Arron for 20 years and he and I both had a love of Folk music/dance/tradition/drama etc etc.
He was a great lad and as soon as I knew that he had passed-on I wanted to ring Mary & Mike but I just had no idea what to say.
We parents have no right to outlive our kids, but Mary & Mike have to come to terms with this and I hope that in time the hurt that you both feel will ease.   Having know both of you along with Aaron for all this time I know that you are both strong people and I trust that the love you have for each other will help you through these dark times and that the "Vital Spark" will shine in your life for ever.

We have now added the donations from Aaron's funeral to the Just Giving site (www.justgiving.com/Aaron-Cryan.) and the total donations for the Teenage Cancer Trust are £1,314. Thanks to all who have contributed, we will be leaving the site open.
