I had heard that Harding did not pay off the cops. So, a minor was spotted getting served. They had to be dry for a week. Shortly after that, the Quiet Knight became Tuts.

I took one of my first offical dates to the Quiet Knight to see the Siegle/Schwall blues band doing their then regular Tuesday night spot there. My dad and I went to see Jackson Browne (accompanied by David Lindley) with David Blue as the opening act on another occasion. Towards the end, when they lost their liquor license through a police sting, I saw John Renbourn and Stefan Grossman.

sad. at least he lived to a ripe old age.

I remember hearing Randy Newman, many others there. including that janitor who played the piano so beautifully, with one hand (Art has mentioned him)
