I posted this in anothe rthread, but it may be found better here

apparent.y you are too late to meet Mark Fackeldy...his obit is posted
in one of the threads mentioned here:
http://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=64703
his shop was:
Zephyrhill Autoharps
206 W Flora Street
Tampa, FL 33604-5415

maybe our "harpgirl" will chime in here?

youmight want to check out these festivals an dcamps focussed on autoharp

http://www.mlag.org/ in June...The 22nd Annual Mountain Laurel Autoharp Gathering will be held June 20-24, 2012
at Little Buffalo Family Campground Newport, Pennsylvania

or this one IN BEAUTIFUL ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA...
OUR 23rd YEAR!! Sunshaine State Acoustic Music camp
http://camp.cgmusicman.com/

or this in new york http://www.cranberrygathering.com/
i did not include the west coast gatherings, there are
ones in Cal, Ore,

http://www.cyberpluckers.org/festivals.php has a list of several
gatherings...perhaps someone at one of these camps will know
of an auto harp teacher in your area..

Have you looked at the music stores in Tampa for a teacher?

on this site:
http://www.cyberpluckers.org/teacherlist/index.html
i found this:

My list contains a forbidden html tag so I can't post it. What the hey is that, Max?

Post your email address and I'll add you to the list. There is one lady from Pensacola on the list but I don't think I know her. I know the rest of them, though.

I see my good friend Charley Groth is mentioned in this thread. He runs Sunshine State Music Camp in the fall, which a lot of autoharpers attend. They also gather at all the major Florida Festivals. He'll hook you up.

Which west Florida are we talkin' here? The western part of the peninsula, as in Tampa, or the real west Florida, as in Pensacola?
