Welsh band, The Chartists , will be appearing at the Valley Folk Club in Pontardawe near Swansea on friday 15th June beginning at 8pm.The venue is The Ivy Bush on Brecon Road and all are welcome!
The Chartists have recently reformed and many of their songs tell the stories linked to the great Chartist uprising of 1839.Great songs and great singing!

I have very dim recollections that the Chartists were doing shows around 1981 when I was at University in Cardiff. Beyond that I am not sure what else.
Can you give any info that might jog my memory?

I have an album by them from 1980 or '81. Didn't realize that they were Welsh, though.
