Although there are references in two thread and in the DT to this family and, in particular, Vincent Kennt, Brroklyn, who was to provide tunes for some of the songs, I can find nothing about them. Have they made albums, been collected from by other people (There's nothing in the common books or in the Roud Index).

Does anyone have any information; they are patently of Irish descent.

Some music you can access from that page.

I did and found the material I referred to - or material copied from the DT by other websites.

If you Google - John Moulden - You will find that I would not have asked anybody else had there been any way of finding out in any of the more usual Newfoundland collections, in the Roud Index or on the internet.

I would be most grateful of anyone who does know.

John, you might try Gordon Bok, who has music and fishing friends in Newfoundland, and may be able to suggest contacts. http://www.timberheadmusic.com/contact.html

George        Kenny, 709-229-3937 Conception Hbr. NL
This is the only phone # I can find listed for a Kenny in that area. It may be worth a call because it is a small place and if it is not the Kenny you seek they could perhaps help. GEST's site lists a few of their songs. GEST also monitors the Mudcat and may pick up on this thread.

My Dad's name was Edward Vincent Kenny, but he was always called Vince Kenny. He was born & raised in Kitchuses. He and my Mom (Noreen Mclean Kenny would drive up there every summer after Dad's father passed away. Being the youngest in the family, he inherited his Dad's home. I know that he played the accordion, but I'm not sure if this is who you're referring to.

I did leave a PM for John Moulden, but he doesn't usually "do" PMs, so if one of his close friends sees this, perhaps they will mention the thread to him, please. Thanks.
