Subject: Stolen guitar Hull UK
From: Linda Kelly
Date: 05 Jul 12 - 06:12 PM

From my friend Norman Cross. Thank you for offering to circulate details of Norman's guitar. He heard today that the thieves have been found and lots of things recovered, but not his beautiful guitar.
Anyway, it is a Guild Jumbo Acoustic guitar, with a cutaway, model: JC 30 A07 and the serial number is; JF 300338 dated Feb 22 1988. Maple back and sides, spruce soundboard.
if anyone has seen this or has information can you please contact me.

Linda - Your location would help. Where was the guitar stolen?
The US? Canada? Europe?

I so hope you find it. I had a Guild D28 stolen years ago and I still miss it.
Is this one natural finish or sunburst/coloured?

With luck perhaps one of the crooks will indicate where it ended up. I sure hope so.

having just recently bought a Guild Jumbo acoustic 2ndhand, I had a minor little flutter in my tummy when I read the title.

However, mine isn't a cutaway.

Hope you get it back.

Those things are LOUD guitars!

Do you have NCIC there? here it's called the National Crime intelligence center. If you do, report this to them.

My lovely Guild Guitar has now been found and I wish to thank you all for your concern and help in finding it. A suspicious shop assistant made an internet search and found a Mudcat posting . Happy result. Thank you. Norman

"A suspicious shop assistant made an internet search and found a Mudcat posting"

so did the shop assistant actually buy the guitar off the guy first?
