I've just been looking for a B/C box for my daughter. I've seen a brand called 'Rossini' that seem very cheap - I think they may be Chinese? Anyone familiar with this make?

I've not heard of a genuine Italian maker of that name - it looks likely to be Chinese maker putting an Italian looking name on, common practice.
Of course the instrument may be good value at the pr
ice, but if it doesn't last long, don't be surprised!
Worth asking on melodeon.net..

This website confirms they are Chinese (they have a Soprani look to them)...

How are the bass buttons tuned? Two row B/C boxes have often strange tunings which seem at odds with the B and C rows when playing melodian style ( up and down the rows ) but can be more at home when playing accordion style. ( accross the rows ) I am speaking here as a failed melodian student. ( only manageing the first part of " Smiths a Gallant Fireman " and most of " The Clog Dance "
