Subject: RE: BS: L.A. to Shut Down Pot Shops... From: katlaughing Date: 25 Jul 12 - 03:14 PM Anyone who is interested may read about it HERE. We only have one dispensary within probably about 60-80 miles. Most of them are in Denver which is even farther. I am interested in what happens with this issue. Since I started using medical marijuana (infused in yummy "sour apple tarts")I have been virtually pain-free after having chronic pain since I was seventeen. No pain drugs with all of their awful side effects and possible interaction with my other meds. I can sleep without tossing and turning due to aching shoulders and neck; I can walk without excruciating foot pain, and am generally in a more positive frame of mind and physicality. Also, there is very little THC in what I buy...I have yet to "trip out." This from someone who never even tried mj at any time in my life. Medical marijuana is the first time I've ever tried it. Most of the docs I've talked with about it, say they would dispense it if it were like a regular prescription (legally)and/or, they would like to see it available that way OR sold as alcohol is. I hope this country will stop with its stupid fear of "potheads." |
Subject: RE: BS: L.A. to Shut Down Pot Shops... From: katlaughing Date: 25 Jul 12 - 03:26 PM Just a suggestion, Bobert: based on what I've seen at the dispensary I go to, they are very careful to not use "pot" as a common term. It is important to them, and to me, to make the distinction that it is "medical marijuana," so I would change the thread title if it were up to me. No biggie here, really, but just wanted to make note. This fall, in Colorado we will be voting on whether to allow recreational use as well. |
Subject: RE: BS: L.A. to Shut Down Pot Shops... From: Bill D Date: 25 Jul 12 - 03:53 PM The fact is, **most** people who actively seek pot/cannibus do so for recreational use, not medical use. Another fact is- it DOES often impair judgement and affect social behavior.... not in the same dangerous ways alcohol does, but it still has effects on behavior. AS to health, I can't say. All THAT being said, it may well be the lesser of two |
Subject: RE: BS: L.A. to Shut Down Pot Shops... From: Bobert Date: 25 Jul 12 - 03:58 PM Glad to read that the evil weed is workin' fir ya', kat... BTW, trippin' out on pot ain't gonna happen... You want to trip out yer gonna have to get something else, like LSD... LSD will trip you out, that's fir sure... B~ |

Subject: RE: BS: L.A. to Shut Down Pot Shops... From: Amos Date: 26 Jul 12 - 01:01 AM Geeze, Bobert, don't ask me. I do not live in Los Angeles and only go there when I must. But I understand all the heat at the border has made people feel uneasy about California markets and they are shipping via New Orleans and distributing from Wheeling now. So you should be all right.
