Oh, you lucky people!
Unfortunately it's too far to travel, so I'll just have to content myself in patience until January when we have Brian as a guest at the Glasgow Ballad Workshop....

If you're anywhere near 50 miles of the Welly, go hear Brian. You won't regret it.

Thanks Geoff!

Brian did a fantastic night at the 'Welly' last time he was here.

He actually started his folk singing at one of our first folk clubs, the 'Colly', many years ago when he lived in the area.

It's sure to be another great night at the 'Welly'.

Cheers,

Ken.

Whoops - thicky fingers!

The Whitby Three (all innocent m'lud) will be there and enjoying the ambiance as well as having a right good night.

Sod the weather, if necessary we will get the helichopper out.

"He actually started his folk singing at one of our first folk clubs, the 'Colly', many years ago when he lived in the area."

Historical correction: it was Margaret who lived in Thornaby - I just used to come up for weekends, and always made sure to take Monday off work so I could go the Colly on Sunday night. The rest is all true, though. I'm very proud to have been a semi-regular at such a great club, and to have got so much encouragement from the Wilsons.

Looking forward greatly to tomorrow!

Sorry to hear you're unwell, Tootler. Brian did a spendid night, as always - just wish we could have had another hour's worth! Hope you're better for next week. Club swap time!
