Yes, they are, Seamus! And Stone Soup will be a much more intimate venue than the Newport Folk Festival where I heard them.

Saw and heard them at MusikFest in Bethlehem, PA a year ago, and they are excellent both vocally and musically, with a lovely, lively stage presence. A tight little band, and the lead guitarist sure knows his way around a hot lick or two.

You are correct, They are not sisters. I heard them at the Newport (Rhode Island) Folk Festival two summers ago and thought they were great. I can hardly believe "my" coffeehouse was able to book them.

Saw these at Shrewsbury Folk Festival UK and thought they we very good musically very tight and full of energy. I thing I did notice though, I don't think they are all sisters.!!!! :-)

Coming to Stone Soup Coffeehouse on Saturday, December 8, at 8 PM are the Sweetback Sisters: A Country Christmas.

Stone Soup is at 50 Park Place in Pawtucket, RI, a few blocks from Rt. 95's Exit 27. It is between Providence and the Massachusetts state line.
