Subject: BS: Is this the right room for an argument?
From: John MacKenzie

Mudcat has become so adverserial lately, and what used to be discussions, are now didactic exchanges.
So folks, take out your angst on this thread, and let the others be civilised!

I really admire your physical dexterity. It's truly amazing how you can shoot yourself in the foot like that when your foot is in your mouth and your head is up your ass!

=======

Why don't you have a Plexiglas plate installed in your abdomen? That way, with your head where it is, you could see where you're going and not keep bumping into things all the time!

=======

Get a clue? What am I saying!!? You couldn't get a clue if it were the middle of clue mating season, you stripped naked, rubbed clue musk all over your body, then ran out into a field full of horny clues and did the clue mating dance!!

Ba-DUM-pum!!! (Rim shot!)

Crap! This one is gonna start(ed) with mixed crap turning into crap and then turning back to crap and then we are going to have crap at times heavy with local blowing crap in winds 50 to 80kph. Total 24 hour crap forecast is 30 to 40cm.

That kinda crap don't make no nevermind a me but Mum gets all worked up over it. Maybe my secret spaghetti sauce recipe will help soothe her trepidations.
****************************************************************

Super secret succulent spaghetti sauce simmering as I speak after just see to my snowblwer and readying my shovelsssssss (yes, I have seven... eight if you count the snow scoop). And it's snowing. But *I*, in my usual pleasant demeanour, refuse to allow my genial self to be drawn into any arguments by you lot.

Before I go outside to scrape the ice and snow off my dining room window so I can monitor the depths of the drifts in front of my garage and Mum's back door, I'd just like to say, "F*** OFF the lot a yas, eh?" ESPECIALLY YOU, Mr. 2 to 4 fuckin cm... prick!

Smetimes i think that putting in one's tuppenceworth can be equated to "spending a penny" twice.
For a scotsman that can be very frustrating in that, if having spent the penny, only foul wind is the result and it has been a penny wasted.
But on the lighter side a good fart can give relief beyond belief.
"Where ere ye let yer wind gang free"
To conclude if the words are spoken fom the heart via the anus is it any worse than not knowing one's erse from one's elbow in the first place.

Mother Teresa taught that suffering and poverty were Godly virtues, not injustices to be opposed. Conditions in her orphanages and her Homes for the Dying were dreadful. There was gross neglect, physical abuse and the espousing of wacky (to say the least) "medical" practices that often left sick people in unnecessary agony, denying them even basic painkiller relief, with the claim that suffering brought people closer to Jesus. She denied medical training to the nuns working in her homes, claiming instead that God would empower the ignorant and weak. She forbade her sisters to read newspapers and secular literature. Her financial dealings were dodgy to say the least and she received donations from exceptionally shady sources. For example, she accepted donations from Papa Doc and praised him. She diverted donations away from needy people in favour of new convents and missionary work. She capriciously refused help to sick people who didn't exactly comply with her arbitrary qualifying criteria. All in all, an evil bastard if ever there was one. No doubt she'll soon be sainted by the Catholic church.

I feel so happy that I was able to interrupt this sweetness-and-light thread with that rant. If you don't like it, well, in the spirit of the thread -- tuff tittie! ;-)

Rap says that he has all these big-ass gun and how he can take out a bad guy from 2 miles away but when I had that guy shooting at me and the P-Vine did he volunteer to come take that guy out??? No, he didn't...

Gn-ze says he's retired but has he pushed harder to become a Walmart greeter where he could be checkin' out chicks every day??? No, he hasn't...

Kendall says he has this big harpoon but does he send me a picture of it so I can compare it to the one in Smithsonian Medical Museum with the one borrowed from John Holmes after his death and now on exhibit??? Heck no, he doesn't...

Brucie is long overdue to put out another CD but doe he do it??? Heck no...

Spawzer and the Reg Boyz get together every weekend for some antics but does he share the stories or pics??? No way...

Ol-ster won't take his Geritol and so he's either sick or busted up??? What's that about???

And the Krinkx packed up his shit and has left the joint... Hey, the Krinkz is a fink but, Geeze Louise....

Bunch of slackers...

I do not personally know much about Mother Theresa, nor her reported deeds, or misdeeds. I've never much been into hero worship, as I don't like to be disapointed.

And, I have I have certainly never seen, felt, nor suckled a tuff tittie. All that I have been exposed to were tender, sweet and very tantalizing - or, may I say ummmm, titillating.

But, I can understand how being presented with a so-named "tuff tittie", especially early in life, could sour ones outlook on life.

No bad guys have come to his house, because he would have told us, and for me to show up loaded down with guns and ammo and grenades and stuff and not have the baddie show up would be plumb embarrassing. So he just wants to make me look foolish by me being loaded to help a friend in trouble when the trouble ain't there. Then'll he'll try to grind me under his iron heel of oppression and then I might have to unholster my supersoaker and shoot him in the crotch.

Steve Shaw, your opinion of Mother Teresa and her operation is harsher than that of Christopher Hitchens. Why is that?

One could line-item all of the summaries I read and explain most of them on the basis of her faith and her beliefs, rather than ascribing them to evil.

I have no dog in this hunt- I am not Catholic and fairly anti-religion as she is spoke - but I must say that a good many of the 'crimes' she is accused of aren't much different from the dictates I heard, growing up. Ignorance, to me, is the ultimate crime; I don't know how much education Teresa had but I do know that there are churches, like the Amish, who prize and trust ignorance above all.

John... I recently (only 1.3 cups of tea) ago, returned from the savage grips of Mom Nature and she's a bitch. I actually enjoyed the blow jobs yesterday but it's now COLD and windy compared to yesterday. It's one of those double blow job days - Ya gotta throw half of it half way and throw all of that and the other half the other half way ta make any headway.

My runway is 06-24. When I blow 06, the wind is 06 and when I blow 24, the wind is 24. The reason is due to the proximity of the adjacent houses and garages. The only simple solution is to move the houses... I was thinking California... Nappa Valley to be more precise.

John, this may be one of the last bastions of democracy left on the net. Who said discussions need to be comfortable and unchallenging, often resulting in passionate
adverse opinions? Be glad there is a place where people can speak their views without censorship because that time is becoming more at hand. Where can you hear honest arguments today? Not on mainstream media.

It depends on how you define argument.

"argument |ˈärgyəmənt|
noun
1 an exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one : I've had an argument with my father | heated arguments over public spending | there was some argument about the decision.
2 a reason or set of reasons given with the aim of persuading others that an action or idea is right or wrong : there is a strong argument for submitting a formal appeal | [with clause ] he rejected the argument that keeping the facility would be costly."

I prefer the latter definition and the accompanying term "discussion" to amplify the various persuasions. This is the right place for such discussions.

Mother Teresa was whatever she was, good, bad or indifferent. I can't argue otherwise as I don't have all the facts.

That said, religious ignorance in the place of reality is frightening. Reminds me of those, especially in Dumbfuckistan, who refuse treatment for their sick children, relying on the strange concept of prayer instead.

Interestingly, where prayer has been used in controlled randomised trials, (people praying for people without their knowledge,) it is the one "intervention" to continually score below placebo. In other words, water, sugar tablets and snake oil have a better effect than prayer.

I mention this for two reasons;

1. This thread is about argument and there are a few superstitious members who may take umbrage at the fact.

2. Where people have conditions such as cancer, we hear of "fighting it" and "will power." Whilst `a positive attitude is hugely important for overall strength and feeling good can have a positive effect on your life expectancy, it makes those who succumb feel that they didn't try hard enough. And if you think about it, that is both false and unnecessary. Prayer and the secular form, will power have a lot to answer for. (Funny how people with dementia recover from other ailments at the same rate as those who have long term thought processes running on all four cylinders....)

The facts are out there for all to find.

Mother Teresa was the very opposite of ignorant. It would be more accurate to say that she promoted ignorance. She knew exactly what she was doing when she accepted the adulation (and money) of dictators and fraudsters (go ahead - look it up). She ran horrid institutions that were unhygienic, staffed by unqualified people and filled with neglect and unnecessary suffering and shabby medical practice, whilst at the same time channelling huge money into opening new convents and promoting missionary work. She claimed that abortion was the biggest threat to world peace and she condemned all notions of family planning and contraception, a great way of keeping millions of women in poverty. Her constant message was that the poor were good for the world and that poverty was good for the poor and that they should never fight it. Instead of encouraging the people of Bhopal to fight for justice, she instructed the stricken families to simply forgive Union Carbide. Not at all ignorant, but the deliberate arch-promoter of ignorance. Mother Teresa was the extreme fundamentalist arm of The Vatican and she was supreme when it came to doing the Pope's dirty work. Don't believe me if you don't want to. It's all out there.

I seldom find Dylan's or Cohen's songs depressing. I do find much of the vapid pop stuff and the corrupt rap/hiphop music on radio these days depressing, because it reflects a culture that has lost whatever moral compass and common sense it ever had. Dylan and Cohen have both been drawing attention to that moral decline for decades...and some people probably find that depressing, because they'd rather just party, consume, and pretend that everything's "okay".

Speaking of bubbles, the next time your outdoor (OR indoor, for that matter) temperature hits 20 degrees or lower, take your bottle of bubble maker out and blow. Be prepared to catch a large bubble on your utensil (Get your mind out of the gutter); the soap bubble freezes instantly and can be caught.

Sunday's out because of church and all that. Maybe next Monday, at high noon, on dusty Main Street with the horses tied to the hitchin' racks and some idiot strolling across the street behind you where he's likely to get ventilated? If noon is bad for you, perhaps two-ish?

Haggis, a hill, and a hand
Edinburgh, Scotland:

""Plate of food: Some may think that writing about Scottish cuisine is like writing about Dutch big spenders. But I have always eaten well in Scotland, and I freely admit that I do not shy away from the traditional Scottish fare. No one has to twist my arm to eat the small package of shortbread that comes with my tea. No one has to scrape off the black pudding from my breakfast plate.

But I must speak now about – haggis! I am not afraid of this folkloric food and its dubious ingredients. Granted, I don't consciously think about it or discuss it while I am eating, but I do enjoy it. I ate some vegetarian haggis while in Edinburgh which I thought was a bit pointless. I went straight back to the full and proper haggis. A day with offal and oatmeal cased in a sheep's stomach is a great day! That is the saying, isn't it? Well, in Scotland it must be.

The key for me is the gravy. This is essential to lubricating the haggis and, dare I say, masking some of the flavour. If the gravy isn't perfect, the haggis is a sad, grey offering on a plate next to lumpy turnips and bland potatoes. But a gravy that is able to sing the praises of a haggis pulls the entire dish together, so that you are suddenly claiming some ancestry to the Macdonalds and you are willing to name your first-born Fergus. Such is the power of the haggis......

...As we walked down the Royal Mile one day, we noticed a heavy police presence. It was so striking that I decided to ask an officer what was happening. He smiled like a schoolboy and said that "one of the Royal family members" was on their way to the whiskey museum. Well, say no more, my good man! Matt saw his afternoon in a pub with a pint disappear as I excitedly took my place along the sidewalk, camera in hand. Suddenly, three cars rolled up the street and a team of people rushed out with metal fences to create a perimeter around the museum entrance. I scuttled forward with everyone else and happily found myself very close to the front.

The doors to the cars opened and out came…Prince Charles! I mean, that is a proper Royal family member, is it not? It could have easily been Prince Edward or Princess Anne who, frankly, are the 'B' team in the Royal family. We agree on this, right? But, no, it was the heir to the throne! In a kilt, no less!

He waved and went to enter the museum, but turned and decided to do a walk-about along the fence. I couldn't believe my luck! I was behind only one other woman in the crowd. I got my camera ready as he worked his way along. Soon he was directly in front of me and I was torn between taking photos which requires my right hand, and offering my hand for him to shake which also requires my right hand. In a split second I decided to continue taking photos, but offer up my left hand to him. Strangely, I also decided that I needed to waggle my left wrist and all of my fingers in front of him.

There I was with the future King of England and I had my face obscured by my camera, I was squinting into the viewfinder, and my left limb was having its own little seizure. He bypassed my hand, as if anyone can blame him. He completed his circuit and waved once more before disappearing into the museum. I was elated despite my own bizarre behaviour. If nothing else, I feel as though I made an impression (probably more so on his security team). As for Charles (we are on a first name basis now) I must say that he has a pleasantly deep voice and very blue eyes. Even with those unfortunate ears, he was surprisingly dapper in his kilt and with a thistle in his lapel. It is reminiscent of the gravy jazzing up the dreary haggis, is it not?""

Honeymoon Haggis:
I wonder if it worked?

""A BUTCHER is sending Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles a wedding hamper packed with 'horny' haggis from his shop - The Buckie Ham Palace.

German-born Stefan Gellricht, 39, claims his racy version of our national dish has aphrodisiac properties.

The butcher, who has lived in Buckie, Banffshire, for six years, uses hot cajun spices for his Hot 'n' Horny Devil Haggis.

But he says he is sending the royal couple a tamer version of his creation - plus a gin-laced 'Camilla Treat' salami.

Stefan, who opened his shop in Fochabers on Monday, added: 'I don't want to be disrespectfulI just want them to enjoy this fabulous food.'

If you listen really closely to Yoko Ono singing, you can recognize the sound of the bagpipes.

"These are bagpipes. I understand the inventor of the bagpipes was inspired when he saw a man carrying an indignant, asthmatic pig under his arm. Unfortunately, the man-made sound never equalled the purity of the sound achieved by the pig". Alfred Hitchcock quote

I personally prefer to be subjected to the horrors of a coffee enema than to drink the vile gut rot the US of a and British folk misname beer. On the positive side, it does serve to evacuate the bowels of the crap they call food in both nations. Good beer is a waste on them, as they wouldn't recognize a quality beer anyway. They prefer to be comforted by consuming this pish as they day-dream that everyone in the world would actually like to be like them. The people of these "once-important", but now China-led and endebted economies deserve to drink urine!

Australian beer has been well-known to be watered down for many years. To add some taste, domestically brewed beer now can contain industrial alcohol to substitute the fermented alcohol. Brewers can add up to 2% ethanol and 2% methanol to improve the product. Go figure! Both, are industrial bi products folks, and recognized as class 1 carcenogens, if taken internally. If a beer contains 4 – 5% alcohol, most, (if not all) of it can now be industrial alcohol. But, few Austrialians will notice the difference. Most of them are too looped on the stuff all day long to notice the taste anyway.

If you disagree with this, let gnu know directly, as I am much too busy to read posts from any "used-to-was", pish drinking whiners.

A jack smelt in oil?

Smelt is rich in omega-3 and is useful in increasing energy and vitality.

I once heard that smelt, like oyster, is an aphrodisiac and can work wonders. But, I suspect there is no scientific proof, (except a resulting crotch impact of hardwood, that is).

Hopefully, the smelt did not give you a bad case of late night priapism,(strong back root (stiff cock - Radic morindae officinalis) and short resources to help smelt your ore, gnu (though I suspect the jack part could lead one to a between the sheets solution).

An old fur trapper once told me that he had "smelt more beaver than a furrier"
