Okay, thanks for the encouragement. I figured it out. I can't download from a list of titles, even though they are hypertext. I have to left click on the tune, then download from the page that then appears.

On a page that lists titles, a song name is an HTML file. On a page that's actually playing a given tune, it's a MIDI file.

Thanks

That may be misleading. In Noteworthy, it's 'file-open', then click the choices in the window to 'midi' instead of NWC. Once it loads the midi, you EXPORT it as a NWC file.

You don't save midis directly into a Noteworthy file. Save it in a directory (I just call mine 'midis', with sub directories) then use Noteworthy's 'import' function to show it and print it as a Noteworthy file.

Lesley's Irish page

There will be ten musicians at the party, and it would be lovely to have music with more than one line to add interest and to accommodate the less-accomplished players.

This Sunday I am hosting a St Patrick's Day party, and I thought I would download two or three of the lovely arrangements from the Contemplator page. I want to print out the songs, using my MIDI software, NoteworthyComposer. (Give me a minute and I'll provide the link to the Contemplator site.)

Trouble is, even though the site itself refers to the files as MIDI's, when I right-click on a song and select 'SAVE AS,' the file type is HTML file, not MIDI or Media, the way it should be.

Does anybody know how to get a musical HTML file into MIDI software?

A PDF might work, too. (This is not the only site where this happens, where a file called a MIDI comes up as an HTML document.)
