He also tells how it is like living all your life being colour-blind with people telling you how *incredible* colours are...and how, with this, John began to finally understand, to see The Beauty for himself..

Would someone pelase read this post and then tell me which is correct.

1. Autism is not a disiese and it does not need treatment

or

2. TMS, which has been tested as a treatment tool for various neurological and psychiatric disorders, can be a treatment in some types of autism.

So, is autism a gift to be cherished as in your earlier posts or is it a condition that needs treatment as this post indicates?

No verbal abuse. Simple question by a simple person. Unlike your parting comment.

As to the suggestion of 'stalking'. I also happen to think that there are intelligent people out there. In fact, I know they are in the majority. And they can all see through the ploy of trying to falsely discredit anyone who disagrees with you.

And PLEASE stop sending me those PM's making lewd suggestions. I have shown them to my wife who thinks I should report them to the police but I believe you are not really a bad person.

Yes, the part of autism which, for some, brings deep talent, IS to be cherished....

The parts which bring confusion, no empathy, deep depression and many physical problems too, is not, for the person concerned..

TMS *can* help the latter whilst NOT changing the former...

If you'd rather that people with severe autism and Aspergers are simply left to 'get on with things' whilst relatively new research is now proving to be SO helpful, as John displays above, then you won't want to be in this thread....


If you simply want, YET AGAIN, to have a go at me, try to get others to see me through your eyes, then please, as I said earlier, fuck off.

Again, untrue. There are umpteen threads that you have started or commented on that I have not even posted on. There are umpteen threads I have posted on that have nothing to do with you. They only threads I get hot under the collar about are those that I consider to be idiotic. It is not my fault that a lot of yours seem to be in that category.

Now, you have still not answered the question about whether autism is a gift that should be cherished or a considtion that needs treatment. Except in your usual two-word style of course.

This thread is dead already. I don't need to point that out but here we go again with nothing worth discussing that has not been covered ad infinitum. This is not and has never been the place to discuss things which are beyond the scope of a folk music forum. LC' passion for all issues she fosters overrides any information which she offers.

I'm leaving of course and I'd suggest we all let LC lecture and type the words of others on subjects of which she has no real knowledge. Forget her little family tales and anecdotes that are simply simple. Please let's not hear them again. Let's all just go away and let Lizzie ramble.
