It's been so long since I dropped by, I can't believe I was able to log in. Back in the old days, I don't remember there being a way to post a video link. Maybe I'm just not remembering correctly. I do see many mudcatters on Facebook, so they know what I've been up to. I'm finishing a new gospel CD and have remastered an old acoustic gospel CD I recorded twenty years ago, but never released, and am finished with my second book, so I haven't been loafing. :-)

I was never good at blue clickies, but here goes:



If this doesn't work, you can just go to Jerry Rasmussen on youtuber and look for Just Because You Like To Do It. There's a lot of my folk on there from a concert I did a couple of years ago, too.

I wrote the first two verses of the song close to forty years ago, but could never come up with a third verse. I wrote the song when I was first hearing and learning country blues, and it wasn't a gospel song, although it had a positive message. I'd forgotten all about the song, but when it came to mind, the third verse came in ten minutes... after forty years. :-)
