Obama's Informants

...Massive citizen informant networks were used throughout the Soviet Bloc in Eastern Europe to destroy perceived opposition to dictatorial rule, particularly in Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Hungary. The best example of an informant network in the communist world, of course, was in East Germany where the Ministry of State Security (or Stasi) controlled one informant for every 60 citizens. These informants were told that they were their country's first line of defense against threats to national security.

The informant network of the Obama administration is similarly insidious, with federal employees required to keep close tabs on co-workers, and managers facing penalties, including criminal charges, for failing to report their suspicions. According to Marisa Taylor and Jonathan Landay, reporting in McClatchyDC.com on June 20, there are government documents that equate leaks with espionage. A Defense Department paper issued in 2012 exhorts its employees to "hammer this fact home…leaking is tantamount to aiding the enemies of the United States."

The Obama administration's initiative is called the Insider Threat Program and it is not restricted to the national security bureaucracy. The Department of Education has informed its employees that co-workers going through "certain life experiences," such as divorce or "frustrations with co-workers," could turn a trusted employee into "an insider threat." According to Taylor and Landay, the Department of Agriculture and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have produced online tutorials titled "Treason 101" to teach employees to recognize the psychological profile of spies. They say that the Peace Corps is implementing such a program.

Someone told me today that he thought it was odd how strongly the government is condemning whistleblowers, and yet the government is encouraraging US to blow the whistle on one another with bullshit snitch programs.

Why did you click on this thread? By doing so you're "accessing information" that you may not need. I'm afraid I'll have to report you.

Below is a link to a helpful "Insider Threat" brochure, a rather large pdf. Familiarize yourself with it and report suspicious activities.

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&frm=1&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&ved=0CFAQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dss.mil%2Fdocume

In case you need to be walked through the propaganda with a How To video, the link below will take you to one by CBS.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxiWTzWu_oA

I know it seems odd that you're no longer supposed to report people who are violating the U.S. constitution, but that's Obama's America. If you don't like it, it's because of racism or something. I forget. But nowadays you're supposed to protect the criminals by snitching on people who might inform on them.

Obama Administration Anti-Leak Scheme Shows Precrime and Total Information Awareness Go Hand In Hand

Snowden's leaks were important not just because of what they contained, but because of what they represented — authoritative fact, as opposed to the trashy, easily-discredited theories of the conspiracy set. Snowden's information had become too mainstream for people not to be totally aware of it.

So I waited for the other shoe to drop — for information on Bush-Obama efforts at precrime to migrate from the swampy margins of American consciousness to the sunny uplands.

It's not taking long....

WASHINGTON — In an initiative aimed at rooting out future leakers and other security violators, President Barack Obama has ordered federal employees to report suspicious actions of their colleagues based on behavioral profiling techniques that are not scientifically proven to work, according to experts and government documents.

The techniques are a key pillar of the Insider Threat Program, an unprecedented government-wide crackdown under which millions of federal bureaucrats and contractors must watch out for "high-risk persons or behaviors" among co-workers. Those who fail to report them could face penalties, including criminal charges.

Federal employees and contractors are asked to pay particular attention to the lifestyles, attitudes and behaviors – like financial troubles, odd working hours or unexplained travel – of co-workers as a way to predict whether they might do "harm to the United States."

All departments and agencies involved in the program must closely track their employees' online activities. The information gathered by monitoring, the administration documents say, "could be used against them in criminal, security, or administrative proceedings." Experts who research such efforts say suspicious behaviors include accessing information that someone doesn't need...

"If you normally print 20 documents a week, well, what happens if the next week or the following week you have to print 50 documents or 100 documents? That could be at variance from your normal activity that could be identified and might be investigated,"

...an FBI insider threat detection guide warns private security personnel and managers to watch for "a desire to help the 'underdog'

Damn Republicans want to call back Holder, to question him about the lies he told Congress. Who do they think they are doing such a partisan thing???

Only problem is, the Republicans are only the other half of the comedy/tragedy theater, being played out as a MAJOR distraction from a lot bigger story.

It's all theater, folks...and both sides work for the production company....and it ain't you or me....they are working together to hide the fact that the World Bank (and affiliates) are in DEEP shit...and the only possible way out is to collapse economies, and 'reconstruct' one to take it's place...and that one is going to be a major clusterfuck!
I think I'll just stick to playing music....it's a better way.

Those damned Republicans. Now they're putting out stories that the IRS targeted Obama's political opponents on orders from Washington DC, not Cincinnati:

http://xrepublic.tv/node/3540

And they're going to make Obama pick a Republican to head the FBI:

President Barack Obama is expected to nominate former George W. Bush-era Deputy Attorney General James Comey as the next director of the FBI, according to multiple media outlets that have published fawning reports about Comey's supposed independence and upstanding moral character.

Comey, according to those reports, is deemed the ideal pick because he is a Republican who also is admired by Democrats...

According former DEA Special Agent in Charge Sandalio Gonzalez, Comey played key role in helping to cover up what he describes as "one of the darkest chapters in the history of US federal law enforcement."

The case to which Gonzalez is referring is the House of Death — in which a US government informant assisted, and even participated in, the torture and murder of a dozen people, mostly Mexican citizens, who were then buried in the backyard of a house in Juarez, Mexico.

http://www.blacklistednews.com/FBI_Director_Candidate_Comey_Complicit_in_%E2%80%9CDark_Chapter%E2%80%9D_in_US_History/26422/0/0/

Damned Republicans. But in the good news, Obama's anti-gun program won a MAJOR victory:

A kindergartner who brought a cowboy-style cap gun onto his Calvert County school bus was suspended for 10 days after showing a friend the orange-tipped toy, which he had tucked inside his backpack on his way to school, according to his family and a lawyer.

The child was questioned for more than two hours before his mother was called, she said, adding that he uncharacteristically wet his pants during the episode....

If the punishment stands, it would become part of the boy's permanent school record and keep him out of classes the rest of the school year, the family said. He would miss his end-of-year kindergarten program at Dowell Elementary School in Lusby.

Obama's attorney general admits approving search warrant for news reporter

31 May 2013

US Attorney General Eric Holder personally approved the Obama administration's secret effort to seize email records of Fox News reporter James Rosen in 2010. The Justice Department was forced to admit this fact following an NBC News report documenting Holder's role.

In an official statement issued last Friday, the Justice Department hypocritically claimed it "takes seriously the First Amendment right to freedom of the press. In recognition of this, the Department took great care in deciding that a search warrant was necessary in [this] matter, vetting the decision at the highest levels of the Department, including discussions with the Attorney General."

The announcement amounts to an admission that Holder lied when he testified before Congress on May 15 regarding the administration's crackdown on information disclosures made by government officials to journalists.

http://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2013/05/31/hold-m31.html

Things look bad for Holder. He can now be cited for contempt of congress because he lied. But we know the REAL reason he's being persecuted. Sure, he violated the constitution he swore to uphold, but the Republicans are picking on him because he's black.

World Net Daily was founded by Joseph Farah, an arch-conservative writer who acts as its editor-in-chief. He formerly collaborated with Rush Limbaugh in writing a book. This might give you some idea of which direction Joseph Farah is coming from.

World Net Daily utilizes a number of contributing writers, including Pat Buchanan, Ellis Washington, Ann Coulter, David Limbaugh (Rush Limbaugh's younger brother), and Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly. It also has featured weekly columns by Libertarians (not Liberals, but Libertarians, who tend to be disciples of the social and economic philosophy of Ayn Rand, which, among other things, calls for complete and total deregulation of all business, industry, and banking and ending welfare programs and Social Security) Walter Williams, Vox Day, and Ilana Mercer.

World Net Daily published several articles claiming that the World Trade Center was destroyed by shaped charges and that the footage of airliners crashing into the buildings shown on the news were special effects films produced by either Lucas Film or Disney Studios. This, the claim goes, was to stage a "Pearl Harbor" to justify our invading the Middle East in pursuit of their oil fields.

World Net Daily emerged as a leading outlet publicizing conspiracy theories about Barack Obama's citizenship status, claiming that Obama is not a natural-born American citizen and is thus not eligible to serve as president.

The Obama birth certificate controversy is a long running pet gripe of Joseph Farah and received excessive coverage on WND. On most days, the vast majority, if not all, of its headlines, tended to be about the so-called "controversy." The headlines that were not about the birth-certificate or eligibility are their "special offers" or other advertisements for books such as "How to Survive the Coming Holocaust." The website will host any article which contains any opinion that could possibly point to Obama being ineligible to be President of the United States. Despite there being a very high quality picture of his birth certificate on the internet, they still believe he is ineligible because:

1. He was born in Kenya, his Grandma said so.

2. He was born in an unnamed hospital in Hawaii, which does not claim credit.

3. They only showed his birth certificate to a "select few media outlets," not to WND, so it must be fake.

4. Even if it is real, the certificate is a "Certificate of Live Birth" not a "Birth Certificate", so it proves nothing (The Governor of Hawaii has said repeatedly that the "Certificate of Live Birth" IS the official birth certificate issued in the state of Hawaii).

5. Even if he has a "long-form" birth certificate, he lived in Indonesia for some years and gave up his American citizenship.

6. Even if he lived in Indonesia without giving up his US citizenship, his father was Kenyan and so does not meet our the Constitution's definition of "natural born citizen", because both parents have to be US citizens.

Just to show their determination to get that black Democrat out of the White House uphold the Constitution, they claim to have raised more than $65,000 to erect billboards around the country with the message "Where's the Birth Certificate?"

And other than his campaign against President Obama, Farah has frothing at the mouth screaming fits at the idea of same-sex marriage, and claims that God will destroy America if this ever comes to pass.

=======

I am not at all surprised that Goofballupagus gets his "news" from this "source."

Well, we know it's all about racism, Mr. Firth. That's obvious. The people who point out that Obama wants to cut Social Security and Medicare with his 2014 budget are really saying "He's black." That's a no brainer.

And now the damned Republicans are making a big deal out of Operation Fast and Furious again. USA Today says Attorney General Holder should resign because of it:

http://12160.info/page/obama-s-fast-and-furious-gun-running-scandal-grows

It looks like Holder is going to be sacrificed, like Attorney General John Mitchell was during Watergate. But in Holder's case it will be because he's black. That's a no brainer.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2013/05/28/fire-eric-holder-column/2367713/

Obama has asked the Pentagon to draw up a plan to create a no-fly zone over Syria, so I think we're safe for now. Obama will be "too busy" ;-) with a new war pretty soon, and people who question him will be unamerican. Like that U.S. Marine GfS posted about. What an unamerican piece of trash. How dare he question Obama's government. It looks like Obama will be busting some drones on unamerican racist trash here in the homeland pretty soon. It happens in China routinely. It frequently happened in the old Soviet Union. Undoubtedly in North Korea, although generally there's no one around to witness it. But in the United States? It happens here, too, apparently.

A lawsuit has been filed by officials with the Rutherford Institute on behalf of a Marine who was jailed and held for the comments he made on Facebook – comments that expressed a dissatisfaction with the present direction of the U.S. government.

According to officials at Rutherford, the civil rights action names as defendants members of law enforcement and the government who were involved in last year's episode where Marine veteran Brandon Raub, 27, was arrested by a swarm of FBI and Secret Service and forcibly detained in a psychiatric ward for a week.

His crime was posting controversial song lyrics and political views on Facebook, the institute reported.

In one of his postings, he cited the evil in the world.

"The United States was meant to lead the charge against injustice, but through our example not our force. People do not respond to having liberty and freedom forced on them," he wrote.

He was released later when a judge stepped in and concluded the prosecution's case against Raub was "so devoid of any factual allegations that it could not be reasonably expected to give rise to a case or controversy."

The lawsuit asks for damages for Raub for the attack he endured. It was filed in U.S. District Court in Richmond, Va., and claims Raub's seizure and detention were part of a plan executed by the Obama administration called "Operation Vigilant Eagle."

That, the institute explains, was a federal program to do surveillance on military veterans who express views critical of the government.

Institute attorneys claim the attempt to label Raub as "mentally ill" and authorities' efforts to involuntarily commit him into custody was intended to silence his criticism of the government. However, they explain the strategy also violated Raub's First and Fourth Amendment rights.

"Since coming to Raub's defense, The Rutherford Institute has been contacted by military veterans across the country recounting similar incidents. In filing a civil suit against government officials, Rutherford Institute attorneys plan to take issue with the manner in which Virginia's civil commitment statutes are being used to silence individuals engaged in lawfully exercising their free speech rights," the organization said.

"Brandon Raub's case exposed the seedy underbelly of a governmental system that is targeting military veterans for expressing their discontent over America's rapid transition to a police state," said John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute.

"Brandon Raub is not the first veteran to be targeted for speaking out against the government. Hopefully, by holding officials accountable, we can ensure that Brandon is the last to suffer in this way."

It was last Aug, 16 when Chesterfield police, Secret Service and FBI agents arrived at Raub's home and asked to talk with him about his Facebook posts.

"Like many Facebook users, Raub, a Marine who has served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, uses his Facebook page to post song lyrics and air his political opinions. Without providing any explanation, levying any charges against Raub or reading him his rights, law enforcement officials handcuffed Raub and transported him to police headquarters, then to John Randolph Medical Center, where he was held against his will," the Institute reported.

"In a hearing on Aug. 20, government officials pointed to Raub's Facebook posts as the reason for his incarceration. While Raub stated that the Facebook posts were being read out of context, a Special Justice ordered Raub be held up to 30 more days for psychological evaluation and treatment."

When Circuit Court Judge Allan Sharrett, however, found out about the case, he ordered it dismissed and Raub released, because there was no evidence of a case.

In asking the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia to acknowledge the harm done to Raub and to rectify the violation of his First, Fourth, Fifth and 14th Amendment rights, Institute attorneys are requesting that Raub be awarded damages.

The 14-page complaint describes Raub's "baseless incarceration" and said it violated his free speech, due process and other rights.

The complaint claims the arrest was a "pretext" that was orchestrated to "silence Raub's speech critical of the government by subjecting him to involuntary commitment."

My, How 'liberal' can you get????

Those Republicans won't let Obama alone. He had tornado business to take care of, plus a four day weekend and they STILL harass him. Look at the headlines:

Washington launches four different investigations into IRS mess...

Issa subpoenas State Dept. documents on Benghazi...

REPORT: HOLDER WENT JUDGE SHOPPING TO OBTAIN FOXNEWS SUBPOENA...

House Judiciary investigating whether Attorney General lied under oath...

REPORT: Holder 'beginning to feel creeping sense of personal remorse'...

And then there's this lunatic woman:

This nutcase thinks there should be LIMITS to Obama's power. She should be wearing a tin foil hat in this video.

BTW, Those mean Republicans MADE AG Holder sign the warrants, and perjure himself, didn't they??
It's on the 'news'.

Well, as I've been saying ALL ALONG, there is just too much corruption in Washington...both sides...except YOUR side doesn't count, 'right'??

There's that "liberal" reality again.

Good, now we have Soros and the Kochs...and both are funding to subvert our governmental system, and steer it towards their agendas....and they are both dickheads for doing so......unless you like one's form of corruption over the other, in which case that makes you, or anybody, a self ascribed dickhead, right along with them!

Sorry to tell you this, but ProPublica is another Left-leaning activist organization. Their biggest financial supporter is George Soros.

They are right in to middle of the Obama IRS scandal:

"In May 2013, the IRS was heavily criticized for admitting to targeting conservative tax exempt groups for added scrutiny. In December 2012 and January 2013, ProPublica published and reported on confidential pending applications for groups requesting tax exempt status. After the scandal broke, ProPublica clarified how it obtained the documents, writing, 'In response to a request for the applications for 67 different nonprofits last November, the Cincinnati office of the IRS sent ProPublica applications or documentation for 31 groups. Nine of those applications had not yet been approved—meaning they were not supposed to be made public.'"

Well, at least 'Bill D' did come up with something..and that I give him credit for. Here is a very interesting link, that gets into the 'Non-profits'...This covers both parties..and you may fins it informative:
Non-profits & the IRS.....from another perspective.
...as I've REPEATEDLY posted, the corruption is on BOTH sides!

When will we ever get a government who is on the side of representing what we people want...instead of being given a couple of lame choices, that we are TOLD, we must want???!!!???....and then have to pay for it??...

I remember someone telling me once, "A bagain is something you get a discount on, that you didn't want in the first place".

...But the most important IRS story came not from the hearings but from Mike Huckabee's program on Fox News Channel. He interviewed and told the story of Catherine Engelbrecht—a nice woman, a citizen, an American. She and her husband live in Richmond, Texas. They have a small manufacturing business. In the past few years she became interested in public policy and founded two groups, King Street Patriots, and True the Vote.

In July 2010 she sent applications to the IRS for tax-exempt status. What followed was not the harassment, intrusiveness and delay we're now used to hearing of. The US government came down on her with full force.

In December 2010 the FBI came to ask about a person who'd attended a King Street Patriots function. In January 2011 the FBI had more questions. The same month the IRS audited her business tax returns. In May 2011 the FBI called again for a general inquiry about King Street Patriots. In June 2011 Engelbrecht's personal tax returns were audited and the FBI called again. In October 2011 a round of questions on True the Vote. In November 2011 another call from the FBI. The next month, more questions from the FBI. In February 2012 a third round of IRS questions on True the Vote. In February 2012 a first round of questions on King Street Patriots. The same month the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms did an unscheduled audit of her business. (It had a license to make firearms but didn't make them.) In July 2012 the Occupational Safety and Health Administration did an unscheduled audit. In November 2012 more IRS questions on True the Vote. In March 2013, more questions. In April 2013 a second ATF audit.

All this because she requested tax-exempt status for a local conservative group and for one that registers voters and tries to get dead people off the rolls. Her attorney, Cleta Mitchell, who provided the timeline above, told me: "These people, they are just regular Americans. They try to get dead people off the voter rolls, you would think that they are serial killers."

Can you believe the GALL of these people, trying to purge the names of dead people from voting rolls? Lunatics like that HAVE to be harassed.

Yes, we should thank Obama for using thug tax collectors to harass people he doesn't agree with. Bad patriot groups MUST be targeted. Makes perfect sense to me.

And bad reporters MUST be spied upon so they can't report lies about Obama. The first amendment protection of freedom of the press doesn't apply now. We're at war. With someone or other. I'll trust Obama to tell me when we can have our free speech back.

The five congressional committees looking into Obama's administration need to stop messing around. We can't have him distracted from his Vision right now. Look at the disgusting headlines the Republicans are currently running:

HOLDER OK'D SEIZURE OF FOX REPORTER EMAILS

Holder to Investigate -- Holder...

VIDEO: Schumer, Franken scurry from questions about IRS scandal...

NOONAN: IRS ON THE BRINK...

Pelosi Blames 'Bush Appointee'...

ISSA Seeks Interviews Of 13 Officials Involved In Benghazi...

Issa's panel inching closer to asking for Hillary Clinton's testimony on Benghazi

Disgusting. And how dare they suggest Hillary Clinton has anything to answer for. She is beyond reproach. This is turning into a circus. Completely unacceptable. Obama needs to shut down the government and give those clowns a month or two to think about things. I don't see how our democracy can survive if he doesn't.

"Fair enough???"

No... not fair enough, because you and Songwronger have, embedded in your posts, the premise that there IS "...a trail of lies and cover-ups..." that forever NEEDS further investigation. It is very much a "have you stopped beating your wife, yet, and if not, when will you?"

I can type endless explanations of 'why' most of these things are over-blown, hyped by the press who thinks hypothetical questions about a good scandal is more fun... and easier... than serious research.

Did you GfS, or SW, happen to watch Lawrence O'Donnell's expose of the IRS 'targeting of the Tea Party'? HE went and read the original law, and now faces are red and squirming is rampant because 501-c4 groups have been getting tax relief in illegal ways since 1959!! THAT is the scandal... not a few awkward attempts by amateur IRS flunkies in Cincinnati to take some silly shortcuts. But that isn't nearly so scandalous, hmmm? It sells more papers to take quotes out of context and use buzzwords in headlines.

Then, the ultimate response to those like me is to reply with MORE demands to 'defend' and 'explain' MORE innuendoes and ambiguous assertions about those scandals which may actually not BE very scandalous.

I'll quit beating my wife when you start asking her if she has ever BEEN beaten!

By the way.....Is there anyone in here, who can give an explanation, on other possible reasons, as to why the events are unfolding as they are, with such a trail of lies and cover-ups?? Can anyone justify their own perceived position as to WHY this should not be investigated further??? ....without the childish attempts at trying to smear those who have brought you the posts, that are taken right from the 'news' media???

Give it a shot....if there is another part of the TRUTH that people need to know...what is it??

No, GfS, you don't understand, but then you probably haven't been receiving educative PMs from one of the moderators like I have. She's opened my eyes. Her intelligence is off the charts. It's stupefying, you know? So between her and Pelosi (see original post), I now know that Obama does no wrong. The eyewitnesses are lying. They must be. And why would they lie? First reason because they're Republican, second because they're racist. This Obamagate is a racist witch hunt carried out by lying Republicans. It couldn't be anything else. It makes perfect, logical sense. I've been told so.

And look at some of the headlines running right now:

ISSA TO HAUL LERNER BACK BEFORE COMMITTEE...

'Waived her fifth amendment rights' by giving opening statement...

IRS internal investigation ended 6 months before '12 election, was hidden from Congress...

Dem warns of special prosecutor...

SPECIAL PROSECUTOR 'INEVITABLE'...

REPORT: US ATTY INVESTIGATING FOX DONATED TO OBAMA...

Judge Apologizes For Lack of Transparency...

CBSNEWS reporter: My computers hacked, too...

'Began in Feb. 2011 during reporting on 'Fast and Furious''...

I don't know how Obama puts up with this impairment of his Vision. He has his precedent to deal with Americans who are interferring with his Mission, so what's he waiting for?

Songwronger: "I bet they're Republicans. The bastards."

Really???..You think that the eyewitnesses were Republicans??
I'd think they were Democrats, if they were appointed by this administration.

Now this:

Lois Lerner, the IRS official who first disclosed the agency's improper targeting of conservative groups two weeks ago, will invoke her right not to testify Wednesday for fear of self-incrimination, her lawyer has told the House Oversight Committee.

Andrew Harrer/Bloomberg

"The committee has been contacted by Ms. Lerner's lawyer who stated that his client intended to invoke her Fifth Amendment right and refuse to answer questions," said oversight spokesman Ali Ahmad.

Ahmad said Lerner, the head of the IRS's tax-exempt organizations division, would still be required to appear before the committee, which means she will have to plead the Fifth in person and on camera.

"Ms. Lerner remains under subpoena from Chairman Issa to appear at tomorrow's hearing — the committee has a Constitutional obligation to conduct oversight," Ahmad said. "Chairman Issa remains hopeful that she will ultimately decide to testify tomorrow about her knowledge of outrageous IRS targeting of Americans for their political beliefs."

The TRULY amazing thing is that there still is an amendment, that hasn't been gutted....I guess the administration had to leave this one alone...it's a 'right' that THEY didn't want to abolish yet....and for 'good' reason.

The rest of the amendments, aww, the hell with them...they're a nuisance....those 'commoners', who think the Constitution is still valid, should be rounded up!...but leave the Fifth amendment alone for now...the administration isn't 'done' yet!...then they'll get rid of it, as well.

...and now for your entertainment...written for a similar situation.....

They're going to slam Hillary Clinton, the bastards. They're saying the new information about Benghazi will describe how she sold missiles to al Qeada to overthrow Kadaffi. Our ambassador was then killed as Clinton attempted to get the missiles back. Or so the bullshit "eyewitnesses" will claim. I bet they're Republicans. The bastards.
