Date: August 16-18
Title: 6th Annual Princeton Traditional Music Festival
Location: Princeton, BC Canada. Princeton is about 300 km (200 miles) E of Vancouver (about a three-hour drive through spectacular landscape).

A free festival, and entirely volunteer-run, open to all performers of traditional music. Two outdoor stages. The festival starts Friday night with a free public dance in the town square. Presentations, workshops, concerts, panels, from 10am to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday. About 80 performers. Glorious countryside (semi-desert, mountains), an ideal vacation spot, too.

Cheers!

In my experience, anything to do with slivovice is always noisy.

Hey, Jon!

We're looking forward to performing at the festival again this year (Soft Focus). It's a great time for audience and performers both.

Just want to let people know that there are videos from Princeton up on Youtube where you can enjoy some of the fun from previous festivals and get a taste of what's to come this year. Just search "Princeton Traditional Music Festival" and a wide variety of videos will pop up.

Cheers
Marian

Hi Marian: yes, indeed, there are some great spots there on Youtube.

Re Et Tu Flute: this is Becky Deryckx and Brad Hurley, flute players from Mount Vernon, WA and Montreal PQ respectively. They both are fine Irish flute players so I'm expecting a great show.

Thanks for that, Larry. You remind me that there are quite a few cuts on YouTube from festivals in years past: "Princeton BC Festival" will bring most of them up, together with some beautiful landscape shots.

It looks like Mary W and Jean L and I will be coming and staying in a motel with a swimming pool..

Can I sell my CDs in the open or do I have to find a back alley perhaps? I think some of the people performers will be on the cds...including your handsome self on one...
