Subject: Malton Folk Fest Singaround From: Uncle Tone Date: 22 Apr 13 - 06:09 AM I've uploaded to YouTube a clip or three from the excellent Malton Folk Fest Singaound. Promble is I don't know any names so can't give credit where due. If you recognise anyone, or yourself even, please let me know? Malton Singaround Tone |
Subject: RE: Malton Folk Fest Singaround From: BillE Date: 23 Apr 13 - 03:31 AM Tone, The first singer is Mike Young and the third is me (Bill Evers), both regulars at the Wednesday night singaround at Flaxton - near York. The Geordie singer was called Jack... It was an excellent session - largely thanks to the Two Black Sheep and a Stallion, Peter, Ron and Martin - well supported by the Ramshackle Shanty Crew and others, yourself included. By an amazing coincidence, instead of singing 'Boozing' I very nearly sang the first verse of 'St Bernard's' - see Monks of Altrugga thread! The Flaxton sessions run every Wednesday at the Thompsons Arms from about 8.30. The pub is on the level crossing just outside the village. Bill |
