Subject: Far in the Mountains - volume 5. From: GUEST,Mike Yates Date: 24 Apr 13 - 07:00 AM Some ten years ago I edited a four CD set of Appalachian recordings for Musical Traditions magazine. Recently I had time to listen to the remaining recordings and, realising just how much good material had been omitted from the original set, I began work on Volume 5. I am happy to say that Volume 5 is now available from Musical Traditions. I hope that you like it. |

From: GUEST,Hootenanny Date: 25 Apr 13 - 03:41 PM If you have a serious interest in the music of the Appalachians don't pass up the chance to get this album. Musical Traditions in the UK and Field Recorders Collective in the US are doing us all a great service by making available important field recordings. Give them your support and hear some great music as a reward. Those of you that have Mike's previous albums in this series will know exactly what to expect. Hoot |
