Subject: Wouldn't it be loverly From: Murray on Saltspring Date: 06 Nov 99 - 02:53 PM I'm looking for the words of the "My Fair Lady" song "Wouldn't it be loverly", beginning "All I want is a room somewhere". Can't see it in the DT. |
Subject: RE: Wouldn't it be loverly From: Liz the Squeak Date: 06 Nov 99 - 03:35 PM Awl I want is a room sumwhere, Far away from the cold night air, Wiv wun enormus chair, Aaw wouldunt i' be luvverly Lots of choclut for me to eat, lots of coal makin' lots of 'eat, Warm face, warm 'ands, warm feet, Aaw wouldunt i' be luvverly, luvverly, Luvverly, luvverly, wouldunt i' be luvverly... There is a middle break that starts: Aaw, so abso bloomin' luvverly, but swiss cheese brain has struck again, it has been a considerable number of years since I performed it.. I think that is it really, it gets repeated a couple of times, and I've done the best I can with the pronunciation, although I suspect 'Enry 'Igggins would be most displeased. If I can find the vid, I'll try and scrobble it for you. It was in the same drawer as the X Files, so that narrows it down to 6..... I suspect that as a show song, it is still under copyright, if it is, I'm sorry, I didn't know....... LTS |

Subject: RE: Wouldn't it be loverly From: Frankie Date: 07 Nov 99 - 08:56 AM Audrey Hepburns'renditions, even though she didn't sing them, of Loverly and "I Could Have Danced all Night" were IMHO two of the most charming moments ever captured on film. Not that I watch that stuff on a regular basis. Hey, isn't the game on...pass those pork rinds over this way! F |
