Hi - does anybody know if the dots and midis will be available for the slow English sessions running daily at the festival? T%his is run by the Spare Parts Concertina band.

Wotcha! I've just spent a busy couple of hours putting the tunes we've chosen into printable form and am about to email them to Bryan to go on the website. Here are the lists for the three sessions, which will be in the new venue Jax Bar:

Jax Bar seems to be in Bath Road according to the map on the Festival website. It's certainly central. It will be a voyage of discovery when we get there.

And if anyone hasn't been to the Spare Parts workshops and is new to session playing they are really helpful. We used to enjoy them when we went to Chippenham.
The first year we learnt Bonny Kate, which no doubt we'll be dancing to at Chester Festival in the Albireo ceilidh. The way they play that tune is magic, given something extra by the recognition 'oh, that's one that we play'.

Thanks, Derrick, I can picture it now. And, Mo, many thanks for the kind remarks. We make a point of bringing tunes that we've heard in the wild in Sussex and at festivals, so they should be useful.
