The paparazzi has discovered she'd out and about, scarfing seafood. While shes away crunching clams, salivating over cephalopods or masticating mollusks, we can slip a few "happies" in.

Thanks, Tami...I've got my pictures of previous years (such as my current Facebook cover photo).

Did some archive work this morning after breakfast (wearing my cat bodice, I'll have you know...), then dressed in real clothes and Tom and I went to Newick's on Great Bay (actually on Little Bay) to get my ten bucks off my birthday dinner. (Stopped at a yard sale on the way...) Had a combo platter of fried oysters and shrimp and they were exceptionally tasty today. Have enough shrimp left (between Tom and me) for lunch tomorrow. I was also a really good kid and didn't eat any of the french fries or the rolls. Thought I'd quit well enough ahead of being uncomfortably full, but I still had half a small Guinness to drink. Hmmm...Guinness today was my "wahfer thin mint"... I didn't actually pull a Mr. Creosote, but I felt like it.

Stopped at Market Basket on the way home and picked up an inexpensive mixed bouquet of flowers ("from" Tom -- he feels bad he can't shop on his own) and an Irish Cream chocolate cake. We just had a small piece at 9 p.m....because I wanted to taste it. Thought I'd have to put it off until breakfast tomorrow!

When I got home my first impulse was to sit on the deck and read because it's such a glorious day. But I was so full and so sleepy, I figured I'd better go lie down and under-react for awhile reading the last two issues of House Beautiful. Had trouble keeping my eyes open (and I'm not going to stay up much later, either).

I was outside around 5 o'clock and it just smelled so nice. Picked up a good sized branch out of the turnaround, but mostly just inhaled. Green. Flowers. The woods. Nice. I love living here.

I'll keep celebrating all month. Haven't had my birthday lobster yet. (I won't pay restaurant prices for that.)
