5. recorded without the use of "production techniques" (heavy handed , subtle or otherwise),or
6. sung and recorded in such a way as to make the lyrics easily understandable.

Nice track, Peter - enjoyed it very much.

Weasel - a friend of mine had prolems with SoundCloud - she needed some slight adjustments to her PC software. Perhaps some knowledgeable 'Catter can advise... (I use a Mac meself).

Hi Peter,

    I listened to the whole track. I don't have a problem with the arrangement. I did think your vocals could be a little higher in the mix, I was having trouble hearing the words. I thought the percussion was a little too busy. Just my opinion. I tend to like more restrained settings.

Not particularly to my taste, but it has it merits, certainly.

My general opinion is that it sounds somewhat dated. It's very much of the "Ethnic Electronica" genre that was briefly popular in the mid 1990s. (Enigma, Deep Forest etc)

Beyond that, I quite like it. But as Phil said " your vocals could be a little higher in the mix"

I'd be interested to know what equipment you recorded it with.
