Stuart Forester: The Goose Is Out! The Old Nun's Head, 15 Nunhead Green, SE15 3QQ.

Friday 13 September, 7.45pm, £7.

Floorspots welcome.

Stuart Forester is a South London based songwriter in the folk tradition who is a regular at the legendary Cecil Sharp House Folk Club in Camden and can be seen frequently on the London folk scene. Recent supports to Dick Gaughan, Jackie Oates, Lucy Ward, Katriona Gilmore & Jamie Roberts, Carrie Elkin and Martin Carthy have been greatly received, leading to headline bookings at some well-established London folk venues throughout 2013.

As he continues to build a formidable live reputation, A Yard Of Ale is the album that, if there is any justice in this world, will push Stuart Forester to the forefront of British folk music.

"A great singer, songwriter. He writes really finely crafted songs that feel to me to be deeply rooted in the tradition" Mike Harding.

"You feel as though you've been listening to these songs and this voice for all your life." **** R2 Magazine.

If you over-advertise an event or performer, people tend to get annoyed.

There should be only one thread for any event you wish to advertise. You can bring the thread to the top of the Forum Menu by posting a new message with the word "refresh" in the text body - but please don't do this more than once a day.

If your thread disappears from the Forum Menu, you can retrieve it by putting a pertinent word in the Filter box on the Forum Menu, and setting the age back.

I combined the three threads you started for this event.

If you are posting a lot of gig announcements for a single performer or venue, you may want to ask me to help you set up a PermaThread.

Thanks.
