In advance of detailed information about the 'Folk-Boat' sailing and music workshop trips I will be running next summer, there are two trips scheduled over the next few months. Both are on the the beautiful gaff cutter 'Pegasus' owned by the sail training organisation the Island Trust on which I did the tall ships races four years ago. There are two five day trips available.

August 11th-16th to and from Plymouth

September 1st -6th from the Solent.

This is an opportunity to learn how to sail a traditional sailing vessel combined with daily two hour music workshops. You do not have to be a musician or have sailing experience to participate. The workshops are informal and tailored on a daily basis to suit the crew. Our skippers are highly qualified and are ready to teach as much as you wish to learn.

If you'd like more details or just want to be contacted when we have next years schedules in place, please drop a mail to vicky@firebrandmusic.co.uk

Doesn't this sound wonderful?

I'm not a sailor, but I'm sure that some Catters out there would be interested. I wonder what the ticket price is?

Sounds like paradise to me, but I'd need to be 40 years younger and a whole lot wealthier. But then I at least have the tugs and keels on the Humber and lots of good music on the boats at Folk Sail, Yorkshire Waterways Museum.
