Subject: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Raggytash Date: 31 Oct 13 - 08:08 AM I'm compiling the treasure hunt for those good people who visit Whitby over the festive period and am trying to remember who won last years "Overall" prize. If you can recall please let me know so I can encourage them to return it for this year. Ta |

Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: collierlad Date: 03 Nov 13 - 10:32 AM Can't remember myself, I know it wasn't our team Murf & Co. It's not about winning, it's the taking part & having a good time. Well done & keep up the good work. Hope to be there this year. |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Joe G Date: 03 Nov 13 - 12:13 PM I think it was us - forgot about the overall - will see if Fiona, Neil or Heather has remembered what we did with it! |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Raggytash Date: 04 Nov 13 - 05:15 AM Thanks Joe, there is another one floating about somewhere from a previous year, I think yours is a replica! |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Joe G Date: 04 Nov 13 - 07:49 AM Neil doesn't recall seeing it but I have a vague memory (but possibly hallucination) that we put it in his boot to ensure we didn't forget it this year - further investigations are ongoing! |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Joe G Date: 04 Nov 13 - 02:54 PM Its us who have it - safely tucked away in a drawer - will do our best to remember to bring it! |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Raggytash Date: 04 Nov 13 - 05:13 PM Thanks Joe, I suspect there's a very strong chance of you winning it again.................. subject to the usual allurements and inducements !! |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Joe G Date: 04 Nov 13 - 05:56 PM The Guinness tanker has been ordered! |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,ex local Date: 08 Nov 13 - 07:16 AM the unspeakable in hot pursuit of the uneatable..."and that's another reason why I left old Whitby town"...to the tune of Skibereen... |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Raggytash Date: 08 Nov 13 - 07:30 AM Where was eating mentioned? The "treasure hunt" is a glorified pub crawl, nothing more, nothing less. |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Joe G Date: 10 Nov 13 - 11:17 AM Neil & Heather asked what day it is this year |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Raggytash Date: 10 Nov 13 - 03:28 PM It's on the Saturday as per instructions from Jude. I believe she has sent an email out to all concerned ........ or perhaps not all. |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Joe G Date: 10 Nov 13 - 04:04 PM Ah - we are not on Jude's circulation - won't be there until mid afternoon Saturday so will have to give it a miss - will bring the overall down to the Station! |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,ex local Date: 12 Nov 13 - 06:48 AM "The "treasure hunt" is a glorified pub crawl, nothing more, nothing less." No it aint!!! why is it called a treasure hunt then. I have seen you all wandering around..load of goddamn out of towners making the pubs of Whitby unpleasant for our friendly locals, who have to live here all year.. Isn't it enough that you infest my town at Folk week with your interminable wailing and strumming..never get a decent drink without some out of tune moron inflicting his or her crap on us. |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Raggytash Date: 12 Nov 13 - 08:04 AM Oh, OK then, lets call it a Bohemian Death March. Yes it is a glorified pub crawl. The participants (that's the people who take part to you,I realise that words of more than two syllables may confuse you) go from pub to pub and drink. No treasure is hunted, we don't even carry guns, although one or two might be tempted if you were in town but as you're ex local you're not local at the present time so it doesn't affect you in any way, shape or form. Which is a pity in a way, it would have added an extra dimension to see who could "bag" you. I would have awarded extra points for that .........lots of extra points. PS Your name isn't Bette Noir is it? |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST Date: 12 Nov 13 - 10:29 AM Interminable has more than two syllables daft lad.. |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Joe G Date: 14 Nov 13 - 02:01 PM Not sure why your cage has been rattled 'Guest' but you are making yourself look rather strange. |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST Date: 14 Nov 13 - 04:15 PM He's a troll who has a thing about Raggy |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST Date: 17 Nov 13 - 05:16 PM I am intrigued!!! why all this flack? Why is the Raggy person that unpopular? He must be really nasty to attract all this interest? .more details please The troll obviously has personal issues. We do not allow stalking and direct personal attacks on Mudcat. Any more attacks will be removed. |
Subject: RE: Whitby Xmas Treasure Hunt From: GUEST,Raggytash Date: 28 Dec 13 - 04:04 AM The Treasure Hunt starts today at 12.30 from the Dolphin. |
