I am looking for an upbeat, singalong song to offset my other , more tragically inclined songs. Any ideas? (Preferably suitable for a woman to sing a capella.)

I like using Ho Ro the Rattlin Bog to get the audience going... it's fun and you can add gestures/mime for the tree, limb, branch etc.

sorry, thought of these after I hit send:

English music hall pieces like Ann Bolyn' Head - she walked the bloody tower

or Body in the Bag

and there are plenty others... fun and you can get as theatrical as you care to.
