There's a Christmas special singaround at Dorking folk club next Wednesday. My a capella band Morrigan went there last Wednesday and there was a good crowd. Its at Friends Provident Social club in the upstairs room. Its run by Neil ex of Hobgoblin in Crawley although he won't be there on Wednesday.

Reefer-ish.

We went to the Hideaway club in St Reatham. Allegedly a jazz club but really the band on was sweet soul with a hint of afrobeat. Quite pleasant and the jerk chicken better than I expected. Not murderously pricey - but we were not drinkinking alcomohol.

Three quarters of a mind to try the Ruskin - Sunday is a silly night but I cannot drink anyway as I will be driving.

Might try an open decks night and take some of my seven inches (those are vinyl singles for the benefit of anyone with a smutty mind).

Open to all suggestions...

I am looking either for a music venue (preferably not TOO "Shh, listen attentively") or nice not shatteringly overpriced eaterie (exotic would be good) to take a young lady (well, maybe mid 40s or 50 to) in the next week from now (28 Nov 2013).

Near Croydon but maybe not actually in Croydon as she is from there.

Suggestions?
