Jack Richarson, virtuoso melodeon player and formerly of Mansfield Morris, died early this morning 18/11/13. Whilst he will be sadly missed he will not be forgotten and our thoughts go out to his family at this time

He was always so enthusiastic about his music and loved to share it with others.

Special memory of him will be for the many hours he spent throughout the 2009/10 winter playing for the Edwinstowe cub-scouts as we taught them "The Morris" for their debut on May Day at Sherwood Forest. The event went out live on BBC Breakfast TV at 7am - the temperature that morning was 2'C.

Sad to hear this news. Jack was a lovely guy and a thorough gentleman. Last saw him at Kiveton Park Folk Club with a couple of his fellow musicians. Will be missed by many.

Jack was musician for our NW Morris side, Penford's Mill, as well, (his daughter Sarah danced with us too) and he later encouraged my tentative efforts on the "squeezy handbag".
Yes, he loved to encourage other musicians, and was just such a lovely warm person to be around.

I hope he's teaching the angels how to use push-pull instruments!

I recall happy times playing with Jack, together with Larry and The late Milky Keith. Jack taught me to play fast, normally by upping the tempo half way through to watch me struggle.......

We have been advised that a service is to be held at Mansfield Crematorium Thursday 9th January at 12.30.
 
Although it is yet to be confirmed, it is likely that following the service there will be a gathering at the Triple S Skegby.

Always greeted me with 'eh up youth!'
Having known him for many years both as a Mansfield Morris & Ghost of musician Harthill Morris & I miss this wonderful gentleman
Sadly missed but fondly remembered he joins Milky Keith. Ron & others as a true ghost.
