From: Tattie Bogle Date: 09 Feb 14 - 08:06 AM SIOBHAN AND BRIAN MILLER At Mid Calder Inn (aka The Tap Shop), Main St, Mid Calder,EH53 0AW (back room) at 8pm. For anyone not familiar with the area, Mid Calder is in West Lothian, Scotland, fairly close to the Livingston conurbation. It is on the 27/28 First Bus route between Edinburgh and Bathgate. Pay on door: £6 non-members, £4 members. Siobhan has twice won Scots Singer of the Year in the MG ALBA Scottish Trad Awards including 2013, as well as other prestigious awards in her duo with Jeana Leslie. See: http://www.siobhanmiller.com/ Dad, Brian, is a very accomplished musician, familiar to many of you, with many years of service to Scottish folk and trad music behind him! A rare chance to see the two of them together in a cosy small club setting! Hope to see plenty of folk there. |

Subject: RE: Almond Valley Folk Club - 18.02.14. From: Tattie Bogle Date: 10 Feb 14 - 06:54 AM What's that got to do with a nice night out in a folk club with two great performers? A bit OTT, and irrelevant in this context, Van! |
Subject: RE: Almond Valley Folk Club - 18.02.14. From: Van Date: 10 Feb 14 - 07:46 AM Merely a description of a town. No offence intended to the club held in a pleasant pub in a pretty village. |

Think I've heard same before, though I can think of worse places in Scitland. More "curate's egg"? Anyway final reminder for the gig which has been attracting some interest locally. |
