I heard the best song ever sang at O'Lochlainns pub in Ballyvaughan. It was about a GAA club AGM. It was to the air of The Jolly Beggarman. Does anyone have the lyrics?.

Back in 2014, I asked a friend who lived near Ballyvaughan about this song. He didn't know it. So the search is on again!

When I opened the thread I was expecting -
GIRLS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (USA sports secondary school level approx 1910-1975)

It is quite obvious he is referring to - USGAA the governing body of hurling, camogie, and Gaelic football.

Ballyvaughan is in County Clare, IRELAND so more likely the GAA than the USGAA, Gargoyle

In the USA - womens/girls Inter scholastic,collegial sports were overseen by the AAA (Amature Athletic Union)but it was not until approx 1972 that reality set in.
