Subject: Uke Power From: GUEST,Selby Date: 26 Feb 14 - 09:23 AM Uke Power For all Uke players and potential players Uke Power 2014 will take place at Drax Social Club on 23-25 May 2014. The weekend will focus on workshops informal sessions and open mic concerts with a ceilidh and special guest spot on the Saturday evening. We've got the wonderful Ralph Shaw from Vancouver, who will be leading workshops on the Secret to Infinite Strumming Patterns and Melody Licks for Strummer's. Other workshops will include Gypsy Jazz, led by Robin Garside and Playing Melody on the Ukulele, led by Chris McShane and Dave Fisher. Concert guests include Paul Caspar, Britain's foremost George Formby reenactor, Winkie Thin, Ukeneek, featuring John Fuller.
