Apparently at the beginning of the 20th century an serial killer stalked New Orleans known as the Ax Man. He corresponded with the police periodically, and among other things, offered to spare anyone who was in a club listening to Jazz. Two enterprising musicians therefore wrote a little ditty entitled The Ax Man's Jazz. I've seen the cover for the sheet music, but wondered if the lyrics were available.

As far as I am aware there are not lyrics.

That's ok, LJ. This 'song'--actually a music number--pops up every now and then and that's a good thing. However, after years no lyrics have surfaced. Rain Dog has been on it and likely knows more about it than any of us. No luck.
