Subject: RE: Origins: railroad song From: Joe Offer Date: 28 Aug 14 - 06:01 PM Well, my memory's shot... and I don't know much about railroad engines, but I'm pretty good with a search engine. All I could remember from the song was "if our baby is dead, then show the red..." So I searched for "show the red" and came up with this (click). I didn't just fall off the turnip truck, ya know.... -Joe- |

Subject: Origins: railroad song From: GUEST,Sue A. Date: 28 Aug 14 - 05:52 PM Does anyone know a railroad song about a engineer forced to go to work while his child is dying, asking that a green signal be shown if the child is alive and red if she is dead-these words are in the chorus- -I have heard this song some years ago-maybe bluegrass? Thanks |
