Well, Mrs Bugsy and me are finally off on our holiday to UK. It's been 20 years since our last visit, so we're expecting a "couple of changes".

We'll be in Kent for a couple of days, Hertfordshire for about a week and Suffolk. Hopefully we'll find a few folk clubs along the way who may be brave enough to let me sing a song or two.

Looking forward to catching up with family and maybe even a couple of 'Catters along the way.

Who knows?

Cheers

Bugsy

Best wishes for a safe and happy trip, Bugsy. I was just in Scotland, and it was beautiful.

If you have a Monday evening to spare, the Herga folk club
is just a few miles from Hertfordshire!

Terry - if they're finally off, as Bugsy says, it suggests that they will be landing imminently.....

Hi all,

Having a great trip so far. Haven't man managed to get to any clubs or sessions so far. Spent two very emotional days on the Somme visiting my Grandad's grave and walking the battlefields, despairing at the sheer waste of life and the devastation. Then 2 days in Gay Paris. What a contrast! Now in Bungay, Suffolk, so hopefully, I'll get to a couple of clubs in the next 2-3 weeks.

This weekend is Deal folk festival ( near Dover) in Kent. Its a very nice festival in a small seaside town - a dance, sessions, pub events and the odd paid concert. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Is this a cultural trip to the UK Les Patterson style? Only joking, enjoy!

I was in Ramsgate at the beginning of the month Flora, and we'll be back there at the beginning of next month. Bad timing!

Leadfingers, don't know if we'll be through that way but if we are will def give you a nudge.

Cooperman. Not so much a cultural trip, but definitely enjoying beer with no gas in it and pork pies!

Off to see Wizz Jones in Lincoln on Saturday night, and I'm told there's still tickets left!

Cheers

Bugsy
