Not sure if anyone else is aware or not, but it seems that the Yet Another Digital Tradition site at http://sniff.numachi.com is partially down. Can someone who is familiar with the site take a look in case it is really my problem?

The titles and initial music notation come up, but the program that converts Midi to Tabs, ( ABC, pennywhistle notation and Dulcimer Tab ETC... is not working.   I sent an email to the site owner, I don't know if he will reply or not.   It will be a loss to this community if that resource is lost. I for one viewed a lot of Dulcimer tab from there over the years.   I know it has gone down before, hopefully the owner will reply.

Yet Another Digital Tradition, http://sniff.numachi.com/, had been gone completely, and I was afraid it was gone forever. I'm glad to see it's back, at least in part. I know the problem is that it's not running scripts, but I don't know how to fix it.

The problem has been solved. I wrote to Erich, and he wrote back and has fixed the site. I ran a couple of Tabs through it, and it worked fine!

Erich was glad to hear there was still interest in his "project". He wrote that he put the first code up on 28 Apr '94.

Here is hoping we get another 20 years out of it. I have been using the site for better than a decade, and would surly miss it.

Interesting to see that "Yet Another Digital Tradition" started 2-1/2 years before Mudcat.

Ah, yes, I remember Xerox, garg..but they abandoned the Digital Tradition. I also remember 5-1/4 floppy discs. I found the Digital Tradition on the Celebration Station, a computer bulletin board (BBS) hosted by Noel Paul Stookey.
But "Yet Another Digital Tradition" predated Mudcat, and that's pretty impressive.

an external power source to drive an external drive with a USB input..... can access a single-sided 5.5 floppy.
