Subject: Wanton Seed song book new edition From: Steve Gardham Date: 13 Oct 14 - 02:38 PM Hi all, Announcing the long awaited new edition of the second book in the Marrow Bones series 'The Wanton Seed'. After a long period of nothing happening after the book was made ready for publication some years ago South Riding Folk Network have taken on the job thanks to its members and some private donations. It should be available for purchase by may 2015 at £12 +pp (cheaper than the first book 'Marrow Bones'). If ordered in advance even cheaper £10 +PP. A website is being set up to deal with sales but pre-ordering can be done by contacting the prime mover Ron Day ronaldday(at)talktalk.net |

Subject: RE: Wanton Seed song book new edition From: MartinRyan Date: 13 Oct 14 - 03:40 PM I think my copies of the old editions are wedged in a corner of a bookcase to prevent them falling apart! Dreadful binding of excellent material... Regards |
Subject: RE: Wanton Seed song book new edition From: Steve Gardham Date: 13 Oct 14 - 05:37 PM Hi Martin, I can understand that. They were pocket-sized and could be carried about easily, but very small print and hard to keep open at a page because of the tight binding. Of my 4 copies the last one 'Foggy Dew' fell apart quickly as it was glued, not folded or stitched pages. The others I've probably been through several copies but all the ones I have left are reasonably intact. |
